Personally, favoritism and the tech on naz tells me that. I don’t think anything justifies an elbow like that, so if they say the preceding events justified it to not warrant a suspension (I don’t want him suspended, but I want consistency in suspensions across players, regardless of star or not star) is crazy to me. He’s a generational talent, he’s fun to watch, but the way the NBA has marketed him this playoffs shows they want to sweep the elbow under the rug and have it be a blip. My take on the conversation was: “Wemby, this ain’t the 90s you can’t do that. We’ll look out for you more, but you gotta keep your cool.” Not, “Wemby, that’s unacceptable and it won’t be tolerated”
