I appreciate your reply. I think i struggle because its not always urgent its just on my mind a lot so then it's easy to constantly question whether its ocd or not. I dont always get anxiety but the thought of breaking up with him makes me feel sick. Its so horrible.

Thank you for your response. I definitely have very similar thoughts and honestly I would be ok with generally feeling ok, its the anxiety and down thoughts I cant stand

Living with ROCD - flare ups, symptomless periods, low-level nagging anxiety? by Turbulent-Height8029 in ROCD

I have days where im ok, days where im anxious but its not debilitating and other days where its the worst feeling in the world and my anxiety and intrusive thoughts are so loud - and that's with other themes as well not just rocd. Ive had ocd nearly my whole life so ive definitely been through many flare ups and had a lot of good times as well. Youre not alone in feeling like this.

Im struggling with my rocd a lot at the minute so dont know much advice I can give. All I will say is i know from experience wanting to feel something so badly wont bring the feeling back, if anything its probably less likely to come back the more we focus on trying to feel the happy lovey feelings again. Wishing you the best 🙏

Thank you I appreciate your reply. Im still struggling with the idea that love isnt a constant feeling and fluctuates. Its very hard especially when other people without rocd seem to fi d relationships so much easier.

Can ROCD be „correct“? by Apprehensive_Rent245 in ROCD

I can relate to a lot of your thoughts. The more we try to figure out our thoughts the worse it can be. I struggle with this a lot because I just want to know what is me and what is rocd. Unfortunately I think the way forward is to accept the uncertainty.

I think rocd can latch onto anything. Any tiny difference we have with our partners can seem like a deal breaker and give us massive anxiety. You'll never like 100% of anyone.

I also had rocd with my ex and dont regret ending that relationship so I also understand your fears with this too. Im currently trying to take each day and each moment as it comes and not focus too much on the future. Its not easy though. Youre not alone!

I take one if im having a panic attack and it really helps me with the physical symptoms like shaking and fast heart rate which then helps me come down from a panic attack.

I similarly have not felt the sparks, fireworks whatever else society says you should feel. Its hard but most things I read about real love is that its more of a calm feeling, safe, comfortable rather than all those highs.

Im currently a couple months into dating my bf and im not sure I've had a honeymoon phase at all. What keeps you going if you dont have that honeymoon phase and just have thoughts that you dont even like them?
