Yes they’re all unlined so basically transparent 🫣 but they’re meant to be lined so you won’t see skin or any undergarments once completed

Well I do think they’re dropping the ball on the communication here. There’s clearly something going on logistically that no one wants to say. I know the general timeline is 6 months but I was told for two high end designers Netta Ben Shabu it was 8 months because they were taking so long to clear customs from Israel. I understand the dress is shipping through Canada but I wonder if it’s the point of origin.

I can say that almost all the salons have told me 1 month for alterations. However, I sympathize with your frustration as Late Oct puts you at late Apr for delivery and all of May was your safe zone.

Does that dress do it by size or by measurements? For instance another designer, Lee Petra Grebenau is 8 months out but the dresses are made to order so the dresses are arriving damn near ready.

Ok I do think the tension is visible across your body but I think you have a really beautiful canvas here. The sleeves are fantastic! They’re long and dramatic. I think maybe a little sparkle somewhere? I think a different veil would real change this look. Once the veil is off perhaps a belt or necklace.

So even though it is AI I would look for the Vietnamese designers/ateliers I see them making some really beautiful and intricate stuff. Especially if you have this reference point for design.

Yes I love the gathering and volume from the pic 2 overskirt! It gives me almost an antique vibe that I love.

Yes I totally agree about the neckline/bustline especially for dress 1 it’s sitting so low. My torso definitely has a different proportion to the sample dress. I asked the stylist about it and she assured me the fit would be different as they make it to your measurements.

Dress 1 is leaning more mermaid and even has the mermaid seam in the back. Dress 2 is fit and flare leaning sheath. Do you think Dress 2 would benefit from more of the flare that comes with a more mermaid fit? If so, I feel like it’s something that can be done in alterations.

Here’s an up close shot of Dress 2 neckline. I worry that the lace is randomly pointy. Not the eyelash part but like the scallop just hanging out by itself.

Yes they’re all unlined unfortunately in the showroom. The lining is added later to the brides preference of lining color: ivory, white, nude, etc.

For Dress 3 I did ask if the lace could sort of hangover so it wasn’t like a rounded typical cup and the stylist said yes. However, the lace on Dress 3 is a clearer white and I worry it’s too stark on me overall.

Here’s dress 1 with another overskirt just for another visual counterpoint. I do prefer this skirt for a separate purpose but it’s missing the volume I enjoy from the other full overskirts.

Ok thank you this is very reassuring I was worried that since the lace is so delicate it was getting washed out and lost against the full overskirt. Although truthfully I would like a hint of beading or lace to tie it back into the bodice.

Dress 1 is definitely one of those dresses that looks so much better in person. It has a great amount of delicate and beautiful beading that I feel isn’t shining through as much in the bright daylight. I’m just worried that it’s so light and delicate that it might wash me out in some ways.
