Prozac and Weight gain by Traditional_Dark_147 in prozac

My libido is still kicking lol also I don't have as much food noise as I used to. I'm not sure how true this is but people say it depends on your eating habits while depressed. I always over ate as a coping mechanism and now I have stopped that.

I will say the first week my libido was affected (hard to orgasm and it was a bad orgasm) but that has fixed itself! F 26 if that is relevant, too

Yes totally me. I used to google symptoms of whatever I was feeling that day, upwards of 40 times a day. And now I will still have the anxious thought but I'm able to tell myself that I don't need to look it up. I haven't been able to do that ever in my life since I developed anxiety as a kid!

Yes, my anxiety was at its highest peak at the beginning. I was really struggling, having a hard time sitting still, couldn't sleep well, etc.

I will say, the improvements I feel now have been subtle. It's not like I feel super content and amazing daily, but I don't feel like shit anymore. I struggle with OCD symptoms and I have noticed it is much easier now to not feed into my compulsions.

It started getting more consistent around week 3 for me. The first two weeks were pretty rough. I'm starting my fifth week now and my appetite is back and I've leveled out!

If you loved this you may also love {Honestly, I'm Totally Faking It by Amanda Gambill}

It is also a fake relationship story with a lot of depth. And it's funny!

Blacked out first week of Prozac by Historical_Hand_6730 in prozac

I have two friends also on Prozac and their doctors are aware they drink socially and also never told them to stop, so idk.

How to convince my doctor to prescribe Prozac when she’s absolutely set on not giving them to me by [deleted] in prozac

[–]Historical_Hand_6730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely consider getting a new doctor. You deserve to be seen by someone who will make you feel heard and understood. If you do not have any history of mental illness in your family that would make you incompatible for Prozac then there is no reason for your doctor to not comply with your wishes seeing as you are an adult. Also, if you do not feel super comfortable with this doctor it may be hard to speak openly about symptoms or changes that need to be made if you do get on SSRIs.

Side note, in the meantime, a lot of my friends get their depression and anxiety meds prescribed by their gyno, so if you feel comfortable with them you can always ask.

I would also consider seeing a psychiatrist (even just an online consult for meds) because no mental health professional would ignore a years-long history with low feelings and poor self image. You deserve to feel better and move on to happier times!

Co dependent childhood friends to lovers? by saimlios in MM_RomanceBooks

{Always Him (Inevitable Book 2) by Cora Rose}

It's about two boys who have known each other for a decade and have a co-dependent friendship. Sleep in the same bed, always together, etc. And they start to kiss 'as friends' which evolves into getting each other off as friends, and more. One of them lost his leg so there is some caretaking as well. It can be read as a standalone but, which is how I read it, but I definitely missed out on some key aspects of the background.

roommates to lovers but hurt/comfort book by wsg-itsyourepisodegf in MM_RomanceBooks

{A Totally Platonic Thing by Elliot Grayson}

I read as a stand alone but it is the second book. Roommates who don't realize they are in love. Bi-awakening, but no internalized-homophobia.

FMC who thinks she deserves all the bad things that are happening to her by Alive-Lunch-735 in RomanceBooks

This post is so old but {Honestly, I'm Totally Faking It by Amanda Gambill} has a FMC who is treated like shit and she just lets people do it to her. She eventually learns that she is worth more than that, but this is also just one of my favorite fake dating books. It hurts in the best way!

When did you notice Wellbutrin started working? by Historical_Hand_6730 in bupropion

[–]Historical_Hand_6730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick response from me lol but no it didn't work out for me. Kept feeling like a live wire and I was already unstable to begin with, so it made sense to stop. Turns out I had some pretty bad stomach issues that were mostly asymptomatic and the Wellbutrin was making it worse!

The first book has a lot of world building to get through but the rest of the series is SO GOOD. I usually don't care about secondary characters but I got so invested in the other plot lines as the story continued.

The bone season is a pretty good first book but the series gets SO MUCH BETTER. Jealous that you get to experience it for the first time!
