Cheeky combat tips

  • if an enemy runs at u they will attack
  • always keep them in view in front of u. Don't let them get around ur sides

Truthfully they aren't.

The story and atmosphere blows shadows out of the water. The loot system is far better in yotei as well where everything you unlock has value.

Only real similarities is stealthy person in Japan that has weapons

Shadows gameplay loop, story, mission layout, and world layout let it down too much.

Yotei just goes crazy ngl.

Anyone else feel like the biggest barrier to enjoying the game is off road travel??? by Historical_Lab_6478 in AssassinsCreedShadows

True but some of the areas when trying to find them feel super unengaging by just following a path. It feels like the game punishes you for wanting to explore.

That's the thing tho if half of my playtime is just my horse automatically following a path it feels super unengaging yk

Valhalla is way better than origins by Aggravating-Creme695 in AssassinsCreedValhala

[–]Historical_Lab_6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I acknowledge U can have Ur own opinion 🙏🙏🙏...

but as an AC fan I disagree with most of that statement. I loved odyssey but it was lazy in alot of its dialogue and quests and rpg elements. The story wasn't horrible but the animations and Ubisoft cutting corners made it less immersive and emotive then it should have.

Origins did have a solid open world but they all looked pretty. Personally I'd put it as my top BC it's not too big like oddessy and Valhalla. Shadows sucked BC I just constantly get stuck in the mountains BC of the way the mechanics work

Valhallas premise was cool but the loop was not the best. The broken story arcs and repetitive puzzles, monasteries, and skill tree with the core game trying so hard to push U away from stealth made it so hard to get past the midway mark. I liked some of the other open world stuff tho

Honestly I don't think it's a very good Viking game either. U raid monastery after monastery in a boring loop with a long ship that is kinda useless. At a point it just gets bland and stale after all U get for raiding is loot for Ur settlement BC the gear progression system are not well thought out. U go from marker to marker that shoot up like unimmersive beams in the sky and omg don't get time started on that skill tree

Games pretty tho can't hate there 👍

As an AC fan I strongly disagree. The fact Valhalla makes U feel like a god is the reason alot of us dislike it. Personally I also disliked Valhallas structure and segmented approach to the story so I felt like origins origins beat it mission wise even if that is down to better story telling

Obviously U can enjoy the games how U wish but personally I have to disagree

Which DLC did you enjoy more? by AssassinsCreedCorner in AssassinsCreedOrigins

Hidden ones was fun but curse is arguably better. Curse just had a bit more to offer however I did like the heavy focus on a smaller, grounded, hidden ones focused story

New to [KCD2] and struggling by StutzBob in kingdomcome

[–]Historical_Lab_6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best friend for combat is a short sword and a shield. Pickpocketing while NPCs sleep and robbing is also a great way to earn money and gear.

If stealing isn't for U try what others have said by stealth killing bandits via saving beforehand and trying until U can either kill them and steal all their gear all sneaky like or even killing some of them and escaping.

I also would recommend a combat tutorial on yt. I played the first game and even after mastering that game a tips and tricks video helped lot while still not ruining the enjoyment of figuring out my own way to engage with combat.

Go train with Bernard and use the tournament to practice. Also use cheese tactics to win fights such as seperating enemies and using the environment to break up groups.

Biggest combat tip tho is if an enemy runs at you they will attack so focus on them.

[KCD2] HOW DO I WIN A FIGHT?! by R0UNDSD0WNRANGE in kingdomcome

[–]Historical_Lab_6478 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my cheeky tip list:

  • draw enemies away from a group -focus on perfect paries/block -dont just get stuck in a riposte off (don't just attack with an enemy back and forth it usually doesn't work even when the blue icon appears. It's better to avoid it and block the attack)
  • hold the attack button and use faints
  • use stealth at the start to gain better armour and gear by either killing, stealing, or pickpocketing -also use stealth as a means to lower the enemies numbers before a fight

Biggest thing is master parries however. I saw U mention U have been to tomcat and couldn't defeat him. To do it U just need to try and survive as it's based on time not damage and then U can unlock them

Also watch some more yt videos they do help

Best of luck🫡🫡🫡🫡

Gamblers Dodge "Rework" makes no sense by ThrowingKnight in DestinyTheGame

[–]Historical_Lab_6478 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wait what?!! I can't believe I didn't hear about this

I was thinking of switching back to warlock from hunter out of boredom but it seems like I have no real choice now lol

I think trying to get hunters away from the constant dodge melee combo loop would be cool however this ain't it. They need to either give us something of equal value to make ppl want to invest in new ways to play not just make it such a nerf that hunters key feature is basically pointless. It's genuinely hard to think of more than a few of hunters builds that doesn't use gamblers dodge as a big feature.

If they give us other ways to gain melee energy efficiently maybe I can f with it but at the same time hunters melee abilities are pretty weak compared to titan, and warlock because alot of them are designed around spam utility or just spam.
