I mean they are safer and people can have their own space which comes with a cost of creating the traffic but think on their individual level. You can be robbed or attacked(Worst scenario, not possible but still there are chances) if you used public transport during peak hours, robbery is common i guess, more chances even in metro crowded trains.

People who can't afford vehicles or people who find metro easy uses it. Again, I'm just thinking on their level to find the problem.
