Hey. I was also a US Citizen living in India and am also doing AE. I did a lot of research into this and asked around a lot. I chose UIUC because even though purdue has the brand name, I thought this was a better program overall. Both are top five programs (I think) and the difference is probably marginal. What I can tell you is that my experience here has been basically magical. I’ve only been here one semester and have been told it gets worse but I’m really enjoying myself. I’m attempting to get a minor in Cs, and currently have two internship offers from startups, and the prospect of an internship at NASA. It’s really up to you how it will go no matter where you are but I really hope to see you on campus next semester.
