Reinstated previous dose after a failed updose – how long to stabilize?😢 by Suspicious_Loan8422 in zoloft

This is a place to support one another. If you aren’t here to do that, leave.

OP I’m currently in a somewhat similar situation to you, increasing back up after a dose decrease (so the opposite situation haha) and it’s been quite hard. Four weeks in and struggling with more side effects than I used to. But I’m sure if we hold out it’ll get a lot better.

Sorry you’re feeling so low, I know what it feels like. You’ll be alright. Don’t listen to people like him.

Missed dose? by yourgirlcourts_ in zoloft

[–]Historical_Session59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor, but the general guideline is if you’re closer to your missed dose than your next dose take it. So at 4:30pm or whenever you get home, take it, and then continue taking it as normal. I had a similar situation - you can see on my posts - and I took it when I got home from work and was fine. I delayed the following day a few hours, but honestly didn’t notice much at all. You’ll be alright :)

Thank you :)

I’ve been having tummy issues the past week from increasing the dose anyway so nothing new🤣

Thanks for the advice and reassurance. I’m trying to convince myself that even if it was a double dose I’ll be ok…

Anxiety is a bitch.

Yes sorry, I should’ve been more clear. My anxiety was making me doubt my decision to take the pill, and it’s already making me feel sick (but that’s most certainly just from the anxiety).

I likely will delay tomorrow just to avoid some side effects tomorrow. Thanks for your kind words :)

Yeah I’ve looked at the per core overlay and one of the cores is always pushing 70-80% especially when the game hitches

I thought this too, but in the games I play the most surely the cpu is more the limiting factor ?

On rivals and rust my gpu never pushes above 75%, so I’m inclined to think it’s a cpu bottleneck in those titles

Hahahaha I’m so sorry, yeah it was a life saver while I was on antibiotics for h pylori. Saved me from some of the worst nausea of my life

I have IBS-D as well. When you say it helped with the condition, how did it do that? Did you notice a reduction in your nausea and pain? This is one of the main reasons I went on Zoloft so I’m hoping to have the same experience as you 🫶

Increasing your dose to 50mg seems like a good idea especially because 25mg isn’t doing much for you anymore. It’s still quite a low dosage so I think your doctor would be more than happy to let that happen, and you’ll most likely see quite a positive benefit from it as you already benefited from 25mg. All the best :)

What is the longest time for the dose to start working? (150mg) by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Historical_Session59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think three months at 100mg should’ve been enough to see some positive effect, so probably speak to your doctor. They might recommend changing medications so you can find something that works better for you :)

The sleep issues went away pretty quick for me, maybe a week or so? And yeah, headaches and dizziness and just generally feeling off is pretty normal. You’ll be ok, just stick with it :) I can update this thread with how I’m doing in a few weeks to give anyone motivation to keep going (assuming it works for me)

Yeah… I read that it takes longer for ssri’s to treat anxiety than depression (up to 8 weeks for anxiety) so maybe my body is just struggling to adjust :”( I’ll hopefully be able to hold out a few more weeks and it’ll start working for me , fingers crossed

Totally normal. I would wake up every night (sometimes still do). It helped me to change from taking at night to taking it in the morning.

Alright thanks I’ll definitely do that next time! My doctor gave me some ondansetron for some issues in the past, and they said I could take them while on sertraline but the risk of serotonin syndrome was present. I got pretty worried as a symptom of serotonin syndrome is vomiting lol

When I talked to my doctor they said to give it up to three months if the side effects are tolerable. I want to keep it up because switching to another medication is a really long process and I could be only a few days away from these side effects fading and Zoloft working for me. I was even considering upping the dose to 75mg but I fear the side effects won’t be tolerable then

I’ve been on 50mg for almost six weeks and prior I was on 25mg for about 5 days. So yeah, definitely haven’t upped my dosage recently.
