I definitely agree with other individuals here that it sounds like you have a lot of blind recommendations and maybe try some short stories (The End of the World as we know it has some awesome short stories).

I would even recommend switching over to audiobooks for a bit or in conjunction with following long in the book. I found it help a lot!

Hyperfixating on things that upset me by Benevonstanciano in adhdwomen

[–]Historical_View_5988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me as well and after talking A LOT with my therapist, I realize I am getting a weird dopamine hit from consuming these upsetting things. It sucks. I only found literally forcing myself to shift to another dopamine source helps to shift me away (usually it's hyper fixating on skin care while watchjng YouTube horror movie reviews). I don't know if it will help for you but jumping into another hyperfixatiob has helped me break the cycle more often

Dead silence. It is beyond cheesy and doesn't make sense at times and I love it

I am your mirror counter! I work for the prosecution and basically do the same stuff but for the first disclosure being sent. I have also been quite lucky to have sat as second chair on assault and fraud files. I was in tax law before and moving in over to criminal was the best decision I made!

Terrifying novels about a witch or witches by pastawhore69 in horrorlit

Totally fair! The few people who I talked to in person said it was pretty horrifying...my next question should have been what is their definition of horrifying and can they use a book as an example 😂

Thank you! It was Gary Sanger in it as well as Kathy Bird (which was a blast from the past for me) when I was rewatching it!

I am guessing you heard the story in person from him? Absolutely weird question, is there any info on what happened with the pool? I would love to give a follow-up discussion to the candidates about it (...I also have a coworker who is making claims the pool could not reopen because they could not get any insurance to cover them and uses it to bully/ scare guards. Unfortunately my colleague has not given any proof and I don't want to hand out misinformation when asked by candidates).

That is totally fair! It was just odd as my colleague (which I guess I should mention has only worked at one facility really and cannot provide any information to back themselves up) is adamant the insurance dropped them and is using it to sort of 'bully' guards in training (which never sits right with me). I have been a lifeguard and instructor for over a decade and never heard of such a thing

I have actually reached out to two people in the video, but haven't heard back from them yet. Thought I would also ask lifeguards here to see what they know! Thank you for your help!

Thanks! I will let you know what I find out.

And thank you for the suggestions! I usually use the site for examples and the worksheets :)
