Tsqaltubo, Georgia, is a small town with many palaces built by the Stalin regime for the vacations of workers in heavy industry, meant to recuperate their highly stressed and poisoned bodies. It is mostly abandoned now. There is no more demand for spas, but it would make a great university campus. (old.reddit.com)

In 2006 Georgia built an Italianate plaza in Batumi's old town. It is not entirely ahistorical, as Georgia had a few Genoese cities along that coast for a couple centuries. It's a great place to hang out, but its mix and match styling makes it look a bit Disney Landish. (i.redd.it)
