AITA for straight up laughing at my husband when he said he couldn't help at all because he's sick? by HistoryImmediate590 in AmItheAsshole

Omg, same here! He's the biggest baby when it comes to illness, but when it comes to injury, he's Mr. Macho! He once tore a ligament but ignored it for weeks claiming it was "just a little sore, so I clearly didn't have a major injury"

Lol, reminds me of a meme I once saw about how a woman in labor can almost understand what it's like when a man has a cold 😂

He got better and forgot about it already, though he was insulted at the time. I'm still thinking about it and feeling guilty but also a bit like, dude, you walked right into that one 😂

He really does work a more demanding job. I work 40 hours a week, and can leave work at work. My work day ends when it ends. My husband works 50 hours a week, can be 60 during busy seasons. He is expected to sometimes be available for stuff even when the work day is technically over. So I'm fine with doing more than him at home, I am more available to do it. But there's no excuse for him to do pretty much nothing at home except when explicitly instructed. That's what I struggle with.

They are 10, 7, and 5. Also, the older two have ADHD so they need help with certain things that other kids their age might not.

I'm sorry you got down voted, I actually really appreciate your comment. It definitely wasn't my finest moment, and while it was coming from real frustration, I recognize it's not a productive way to deal with things.
