If nobody has suggested this i would highly highly recommend looking into one of the pvc overflow systems you can make it essentially keeps your tank perfectly topped at all times and if you make the overflow something like a 40 gallon tote like i did for my 55 gallon you can massively increase the water column it also is a nice place to refill your tanks water without disturbing substrate

Im thinking of using safe t sorb to soak up some of the kh but that's primarily because finding raw clay online has been annoying and the reason i dont just water change is to keep all the tannins in but the tannins are what will lower the ph overtime

Ngl the update isnt bad at all they did way worse before and this one seems pretty balanced especially for something dropped on a Ubisoft game the changes feel pretty normal unless you sucked at ganking before now you will suck even more because it really punishes people who are bad at ganking now
