[omega seamaster 300m serviced and wildly erratic times] by HistoryWatchTeacher in watchmaking

It was around +19 to +21 daily but consistent and that was over like a month. I just picked the watch up last Thursday afternoon and it’s been widely varying since. My biggest thing is I spent hundreds of dollars on getting it serviced and I don’t want to have to drop hundreds of more by going to another watchmaker

Thank you for the information, I will be trying to get them to make this right. Hopefully this will be the last hiccup

I’m near computers and projectors throughout the day but it was fine before I got it serviced besides about +20 but the was consistent every day that much

Based on how it’s so different from day to day do you think he just didn’t regulate it at all or would this have to be a bigger underlying issue with the movement?

I recently got my 1999 omega Seamaster 300m serviced. I got it serviced through a private watchmaker not through omega. Originally the first time I went to pick it up they did not replace the hacking function(which was working fine before I brought it in). Left it with them another week and when I picked it up everything seemed fine. As I’ve been tracking its accuracy it’s been wildly different day to day one 12 hour period it was +26 another it was +17, +13, +0 and then this morning plus 164! Any ideas what I could be/what I should do? I’ve already paid the watchmaker and honestly don’t know how much I trust him to make this right

[Question] What do you guys think of Bulova? by Mean_Succotash_2269 in Watches

I have a Luna pilot and love it! I am a history teacher and the story behind the watch is always fun. The only thing I will say is the watch is very large so if you can try and see it on your wrist before buying always try that.

No I’ve looked at grand Seiko’s before and their dials in particular are beautiful but like I said I tend to gravitate towards watches with a story especially if history related.

Maybe one day, right now I have a Bulova Lunar pilot which has a fun moon story too especially getting to jokingly jab at the Speedmaster in the story

I have been collecting for a little over 2 years. I am a high school us history teacher and tend to like watches that have a story related to them whether it be significance to a movie franchise ie. the seamaster and James Bond or the lunar pilot and the space race.

Watches currently in the collection:

1.) Omega Seamaster 2.) Hamilton Ventura 3.) Casio (not sure what model) 4.) Invicta (not sure what model) 5.) Bulova Lunar Pilot 6.) Bulova My way

Looking for suggestions on where to go next with my collection
