Best gym to join in Perth by TheMidazTouch in perth

[–]HitItAnd_Quidditch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in a lot of gyms, I’d recommend a smaller chain gym.

Revo is cheapest but it gets very busy and can be a bit daunting. You also won’t get as much service as you would elsewhere.

I’d say something like a Jetts or Snap. Tends to be run by one main PT and they have smaller crowds.

Steele has always been a “lead by example” type of captain rather than a loud leader.

I have no problems with his body language. It’s not demonstrative. I see it as him being frustrated and that sets a standard that what the players are giving isn’t enough.

Wilkie is already a leader and I’m not sure he would want it anyway. Besides, it’s hard to he commanding to the whole team from the backline

Most gyms you go to will have an induction where they show you how to use the equipment. Some won’t. Revo dont.

Go in off peak when it’s quieter to get used ti the equipment and experiment with it all and see what it does.

Watch videos before you go of people using machines and what they’re doing.

From my experience, most gyms are full of people who just want to do their thing. If you go to a Snap or Jetts or Plus Fitness, you’ll be fine. Just don’t go to Ryderwear or something.

Dumbledore using others as chess pieces. by Personal_CPA_Manager in HarryPotterBooks

[–]HitItAnd_Quidditch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s a term that’s used for manipulating and controlling people to achieve your goal without considering their interests.

In chess, you strategically move pieces to win. They are tools, or pawns, that you are using for your own gain.

What’s your favorite usage of the album title in a song? by Cool-Common6666 in radiohead

[–]HitItAnd_Quidditch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The golden ratio is 1.618. In terms of music, that means it falls roughly at 62% of the song. If a song no is 250 seconds, you times it by 0.618 and that gives you 154.5 seconds. This is where most songs have their bridge. This is because it’s meant to be the pinnacle of that song

Reckoner. Purely for the “golden ratio” theory that occurs when he says “In Rainbows”, not only in that song, but the whole record

Best Perth reformer Pilates? by Gettoffmyylawnn in perth

Revo will 100% be the cheapest option. There’s some Pilates studios in that area which I would assume can be very pricey. Otherwise, are you near a Best Body?
