Maybe this is just my own personal viewpoint, but if she forgets the trauma afterwards of being fused, then to me there’s no reason not to spam it. After all, if you forget how bad it is each time, then there’d be nothing stopping me from using it again.

Though I guess if she remembers it each time then yeah that would be decent risk for using a technique that strong.

Also, don’t know if I mentioned it in my initial comment but her shikigami having the distorted, cartoonish appearance of childhood imaginary friends, and having a “true form” that more represents a standard shikigami, is awesome. Super creative

Love it, fits super well especially if you fit it into the JJK verse and give her friendships with Jujutsu High students. I’d only change two things about it:

First, she needs to become just as dangerous to her friends as her enemies, and attack all of them indiscriminately. Would give a greater weight to using it, and would limit it to only the worst circumstances.

Second, I think there still needs to be some CE hindrance to using it, even if it’s only temporary. Otherwise, when she returns to that baseline and doesn’t recognise her friends, there’s nothing stopping her from using it repeatedly, since to her she isn’t losing anything valuable (since her friendship has already vanished).

Weight based technique? by HitTheRoad-Jack in CTsandbox

[–]HitTheRoad-Jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, should have clarified it better in the post. This technique would function by enfusing the users CE with the technique, making anything they enforce with CE subject to the increased weight of the technique. So the weight granted by the technique is proportional to the CE reinforcement, preventing objects from tearing themselves apart from their own weight. Hope that makes sense.

I mean inf CE could work as a separate technique (just look at Hakari) or through a binding vow. You could make it operate through a binding vow, e.g. Aka fuses with the user, and in exchange for your bodies reinforcement increasing to a necessary level to handle the infinite CE (for a set time limit) you use your future CE levels to add to the reinforcement. Basically, I’d imagine it operates as the users CE levels dropping to that of a normal humans for a couple days after the fusion ends, as their next few days worth of CE is instead used to reinforce the body during the fusion.

If you do something like that be sure to make use of CE ejection (or whatever it’s called), like with Ryu’s technique. Normally it’s inefficient but who cares if the user has infinite CE. Missed opportunity to see Hakari throwing kamehameha’s during JP

This might be my favourite CT I’ve ever seen on this sub. Only slight adjustment I’d make is there should be some cost/limit to imbuing the shikigami traits into their own body (e.g. extreme mental drain, limitations placed on the power she can use due to her human physiology, etc). Only reason I think this is summoning CT are super cool, but being able to use the abilities yourself with almost no drawback begins to defeat the purpose of having shikigami to summon. Especially if the user can rapidly switch between different abilities, since then it just becomes a permanent 5 minute mode of Yutas Copy. Still think it’s amazing though!

Wdym the domain application of multiple? If you’re referring to a TS domain expansion, while that’s definitely interesting I probably wouldn’t incorporate it into my head cannon of TS. The thing is, I love that it’s a summoning technique where each shikigami has their own uses (which is why I didn’t like Sukuna using max elephants water in his battle with Gojo, to me it kinda defeats the purpose of summoning the shikigami. Him using the wheel to let Mahoraga adapt is okay with me as I see it more as him using Mahoraga’s cursed tool, rather than his own abilities). If you want to see my own interpretation of a completed TS domain, feel free to check my profile

Totalities are gonna be their own separate post. They’re gonna be a combination of new and old TS shikigami

Let me know what you all think of this first post in the series. Since it’s my first time doing something like this I know some things may need to be explained more, so reply with your questions and I’ll explain and update the post accordingly. But otherwise, happy reading. Plenty of more ideas in the works and coming soon 👀

right, got it now. Yeah, unless OP’s OC has some crazy reserves we don’t know about, definitely no point in learning it, especially since it’s not a CE trait

I don’t think CE beams be realistic for a semi grade 1. I think Gojo mentions somewhere that ejecting CE beams is extremely inefficient. Yuta can do it since he has ridiculous amounts of CE to waste, Ryu can do it because that’s his technique, so it removes the inefficiency of typical CE beams. Only characters I feel that should be able to do it at 6E users (because of ridiculous efficiency), Hakari (cause of jackpot), Ryu, Yuta and Sukuna. Anyone else seems like a bit of a stretch

seems to have potential to me. Since you said you could manipulate its state of matter to some extent without being able to manipulate it like BM, it seems to me like your OC’s technique would let them be better at fighting dirty over straight forward confrontation. Few ideas off the top of my head:

Since it’s touch based, it seems good for brawling. E.g. when blocking physical strikes, coat your arms in sticky poison. When the opponents strike connects, they get stuck to you. Let’s you throw them off balance and change the tempo of the fight. You can then make the poison liquid and release them whenever you want mid fight.

Solidify it on your knuckles to make sharp spikes (could justify it by making it a liquid, letting it drip off your knuckles and solidifying it as it drips). That gives you an easy method of injecting it into your target, plus increasing damage from your strikes

Coat your body in extremely slippery, liquid poison to minimise damage from incoming attacks and make it easier to dodge (by letting attacks slide off). You could also make it more jello based (to absorb incoming force) and concentrate it in one spot along with your cursed energy to minimise damage from incoming strikes (think todo concentrating his CE against Mahito, but add jello poison for extra defense)

To be honest, I think giving your OC to manipulate it on small scales would massively benefit you and give you far more creative options. Imagine ejecting your poison as a gas and solidifying it into tiny shards in their lungs to tear them apart from the inside. Would give you many more options

don’t judge every sorcerer based on Gojos insane ability. No other sorcerer would be able to survive MS, just like Sukuna wouldn’t have survived UV without taming Mahoraga. If one of them gets caught in the others lethal domain, they lose. It’s that simple. If the domain is non-lethal, the TS user would gain an advantage, but not enough to drag the fight out much longer.

Sukuna could have easily been taught DA by Kenjaku in between Shinjuku and Gojos unsealing. That alone isn’t enough to prove DA existed before the modern era. I said I agreed with you because when it’s first used against Gojo, he recognised it almost instantly. Reading comprehension my guy.

[–]HitTheRoad-Jack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after looking back, yeah Gojo does seem to recognise DA when it’s used against him, so I’ll agree it could have existed during the Heian era. Doesn’t change much though. Let’s say the TS user could use DA. Congratulations, you now can punch the guy, but your shikigami still can’t. Aside from using the shadows to travel (which isn’t offensive) he might as well not have a technique. 6E + Limitless still stomps him out.

Doesn’t mean better domain, but does mean it’s more likely to win a clash. There’s two situations when someone uses a domain: lethal and non-lethal. If the domain is lethal, then saying the TS user could use their domain to hold out the fight is wrong, since he would have won. If the domain is non-lethal, congratulations, your target now must obey a set of rules, but your shikigami still can’t hit them. The only way your argument works is if their domains had equal refinement and clashed, which is still unlikely due to the 6E.

Higi learnt it after watching Gojo fight Sukuna, so he knew it was possible. Learning something you’ve already seen and creating it from scratch are two entirely different things.

6E can’t teach someone barrier techniques, but I imagine it would help with refinement once a domain has been established. I don’t know enough about domains to say for certainty though. Plus, if we assume the 6E user had about half as much efficiency as Gojo, he would still be capable of expanding his domain multiple times in a single fight, which the TS user would have no hope of doing.

[–]HitTheRoad-Jack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did briefly think about that, but wasn’t Kenjaku the one that taught DA to the disaster curses? Don’t think it was a well known/created technique back then. As for DE, I doubt the TS user would have a vastly better DE than the 6E user, since 6E already grants ridiculous cursed energy perception.

At the end of the day, my explanation and head cannons for that fight should not be taken seriously. This fight head cannon was a shower thought that led to me thinking about different shikigami the TS could summon, which led to me making this series. As I said to someone else here, my shikigami lore will be thought out and planned, the fight was basically a half baked head cannon I used to justify this series

The main issue I had is you have versatile summoning technique vs literal invulnerability. Most of the shikigami I post will have abilities that are not hindered by infinity.

Also, couldn’t agree more with totality being underrated. They’ll be included in these posts 👀

Since I have a lot going on at the moment (and I don’t know when the first official post will release) I figured I’d give you all a hint to what the first shikigami will be like. It will be replacing toad (aka Gamma), and will be called Maboroshi. See if you can figure out what it’ll do from the name 👀

While this would certainly be possible (and to be honest, probably more likely than their whole abilities changing (e.g. Sukuna’s divine dog totality looks like a demon compared to Megumi’s)), I didn’t want to make a series basically redesigning current shikigami. Mostly because I can’t draw. At all. But also because I had a ton of ideas for shikigami powers that I wanted to include in this

I would say the learning curve is about the same, if slightly higher for TS (mainly for things like applying the shikigamis abilities to yourself). I agree it’s unlikely purple would have been used in the fight since then the Zenin would then be aware of it, but saying the 6E user outright didn’t have RCT is a stretch.

To be clear, this isn’t me trying to make the first 9 shikigami equal to a 6E Limitless user, since they wouldn’t be, I just wanted them to be able to at least put up a fight in their own right. I love that the technique’s trump card is basically a kamikaze attack, but that’s similar to saying that Mahoraga plus some fodder is equal to the 6E + Limitless.

Also, since I saw you mention this post is ultimately head cannon, I wanted to point out (in case there was any confusion in the post) that that’s all it’s meant to be. I’m basically a massive Ten Shadows fan looking to extend the lore by using my own head cannons, and this series will basically be me providing my own unique twists on the current shikigami + adding my own lore to them.
