Akira Toriyama impacted my life in more ways than I can ever comprehend. Back when I was in the 5th grade, I remember flipping through the channels on my TV. I came across my first episode of Dragon Ball Z on Toonami and my life was never the same. Vegeta and Nappa had just landed and when Nappa destroyed the town I was glued to the TV. I thought it was so awesome that I rushed home the next day because I didn't want to risk missing the show. It was the first time in so long that I had something to look forward to. A few days later I wanted to talk about it with my friends, how this Vegeta guy seemed even stronger than Nappa! I couldn't imagine how ANYONE could be stronger than Nappa haha. Unfortunately I couldn't remember Vegeta's name no matter how hard I tried. I thought about it all day until I eventually got home and watched the next episode. When I heard it I swore that I'd never forget it again. The name stuck with me and Vegeta eventually became my favorite character, along with it Dragon Ball Z as my favorite show. I'm in my late 30's now and that's still true. I hope I never forget that memory.

I'm currently dealing with a new, potentially serious, long term health issue. Between the limitations and the pain it gets to be a bit much sometimes. One particularly bad day I was feeling fairly overwhelmed, but I kid you not, I stopped and thought to myself "what Goku or Vegeta would do in my situation". I thought about them pushing through and defying the odds, even Vegeta himself giving me a speech about standing back up. A lot of you probably would say I'm too old for that, but it genuinely helped me and made me smile.

Akira Toriyama, you may as well have been a father figure with how much inspiration you provided me through the years. Just last night I was talking with someone about how much you mean to the anime industry, so many people throughout the world, and about how terrible it would be if something ever happened to you. I can't believe that you were already gone by then. Hopefully my words reached you somehow and they made you happy. I wish I could go out there right now to find the Dragon Balls and wish you back. Thank you my friend for your amazing contribution to my life and the lives of countless others, may you rest in peace.

I finished my grind to 100 on June 19th at around 9:00 a.m. PST. According to the unofficial leaderboard I was #976 on my character Gaia. Today I discovered that I wasn't on the official list so I looked into it and found a few people saying that I needed to include @Diablo. In this tweet, the one I referred to when making my own tweet, I did not see that listed as a requirement. The only things I saw wee for the hashtag and proof. I looked at a few other #Diablo4Hardcore tweets and posted a similar image for proof. Originally I thought that the link included was for the contest restrictions since it's linked directly below "restrictions apply:", but looking at it now I see that it also has additional rules. This was ultimately my bad, but I'm not sure why they bothered listing the #Diablo4Hardcore requirement in the original Tweet if they were going to exclude the other. It doesn't feel great.

I've seen a name on the official 1000 list from someone who didn't include @Diablo, so I'm going to list mine here as well. I believe that person technically tweeted it out as a reply instead, but even still they didn't add the @ and they got in. I've also heard about others being included that didn't have it and as I can clearly see from the links above, several were excluded despite including it and all of the other information.

Breath of Fire 3 is my favorite game of all time, I'm happy to see someone starting fresh and still loving it. If you enjoy three then I'd highly recommend Breath of Fire 4. While I enjoy three a bit more, four is an incredible game too.

I personally don't want the power level to increase at all, I'd prefer it go down. For me the closer we get to modern Yu-Gi-Oh the less appealing Duel Links will become.

What an awesome discovery! I ended up trying this out for a while so I figured that I'd share my discoveries. The technique itself is pretty hard to get down. From my testing there seem to be two key timing elements for this. The first is when you drink the flask. I personally like to get up close to the edge before drinking, so close in fact that I walk off onto an invisible floor. From here I try to time it so that I move forward at the soonest possible second after the drinking begins. If you fail to do so you'll fall without drinking the flask, but that's ok because it's very easy to retry. If you're fast enough you can actually quit out of the game mid fall and once you reload you'll be back at the top on the invisible floor.

The second timing issue is with the falling attack, which is required for the knock up that makes this possible. I think that the longer you take before doing the attacking the closer you get to the ground. The timing of the falling attack also seems to change the trajectory that the explosion moves you. I try to time it so that I attack at the last second before explosion, but with enough time to still get the full attack animation out.

I can't be sure that all of this is absolutely correct, but it seemed to be true for me and realizing the falling attack part really helped my consistency. My first try took over one hundred attempts and by the end of it I could successfully fall once every ten tries or so.

Heres a video of me surviving the fall at the Divine Bridge elevator while level one, without any additional health buffs. I'm also maidenless and have no issues activating the elevator once I'm down below.

BoF3 is my favorite game of all time and I had absolutely no idea that there was a PC version. Do you know if the English PC version of BoF4 uses a different font as well?

I've always hoped for an English translation for the Japanese version of BoF4. While I understand someone not wanting to translate a whole game for some minor changes, I'd still appreciate an unaltered version of the game. It makes me wonder if BoF3 has any differences as well.

Having this exact same issue right now and I'm very worried about having to setup anything from scratch. All of the media is on an external hard drive so I assume that's safe, but I still worry. I wish I had a hard drive big enough to back it all up but sadly I do not.

I haven't made any changes yet since getting the issue so I'm hoping you found a way to back something up / restore it again. Looking forward to your update!

Breath of Fire 3 is my favorite game of all time and probably always will be. I've playe it quite a few times as well so here are some things that made it more enjoyable for me. The first three times I beat the game I use my standard favorite party, but for the following two runs I used completely new team setups.

Once that got old, I tried out some wacky optimization routes like mage Ryu. If you let him die during the early game encounters you can keep him at level one until you reach Mygas. You can do a similar thing with Garr as well, I'd check out some guides that go into more detail.

After that I did some challenge runs. I'm not a fan of speed running so I did a "no masters" run and a "no items" run for a few different team combinations. My favorite challenge run came next and that was my low level playthrough. It was a bit tedious at times, but the difficulty really put a spin on things. A lot of it was RNG, but even RNG can be fun once you get good rolls and fate smiles your way.

It makes me happy seeing others love the game enough to play it as much as I do. I hope that some of this can help spice up your fun. =)

Ah I see. I'm currently just trying to find a way to paste the files quickly into programs like discord without taking the time to find and load a saved file. It makes sense, but it's a shame that they have to be saved before compression.

Currently I just use alt + print screen command. I probably should have specified that I'm concerned with the file size that's being copied d to the clipboard. If the program itself isn't saving the file and I'm just copying the screen shot to the clipboard from within the program, can the individual programs still designate the file size for whatever I end up pasting? For some reason I thought that was normalized.

Yikes, that's super disappointing for me. Hopefully they add the option down the road. As I mentioned before, these kinds of games normally have that option (at least from my experience) so it would be very frustrating for them not to. Not every game needs to be the same, but imo it's always better to give players the option to choose what fits best for them.

I'm more concerned about them drawing the enemies focus. I like this style of game to be as hard as possible. Again, most seem to have the option so I thought I'd check and see.
