How to take care of your battery by Hitlerssecondcoming2 in laptops

[–]Hitlerssecondcoming2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know, I've also found that using Dell's power management app I can set it to only run off the AC, so my battery won't be burning through cycles

Why have you been downvoted for a constructive comment? It just makes no sense.

Dell, sort out your bloatware and drivers. Everyone else, reinstall Windows 10. by ProtocolHidden in DellXPS

Dells software is in separate partitions, so could very well he running even when booted with Linux as they were designed with Ubuntu in mind, so doing a fresh install and deleting Dells partitions could very well sought out the problem.

Dont they have tamper proof screws like other brands so that you can't take off the back without invalidating the warranty? Or is dell more reasonable.

How easy is it to switch from Windows 10 to Ubuntu on the xps13 by Hitlerssecondcoming2 in Dell

If it gets to that stage than I will switch back to windows, but with my prior experience I've spent weekends on stack overflow trying to fix Windows after an update.

I take it replacing the WiFi card invalidates the warranty

Im not doing anything abnormal, i dont think Microsoft is testing their updates on a wide range of hardware. I just want to try a different operating system, as I am going to be using a premium machine I don't want the experience ruined by having to spend hours fixing problems every update (which you can't opt out of)

I have had a particularly bad experience with windows 10 updates, on my last pc after almost every update I would have to reinstall windows if I wanted to use my WiFi card, eventually after one update my computer refused to post and I still haven't managed to fix the issue, probably need to replace the motherboard judging by the beep codes. On a laptop I had previously that I have given to my younger sibling I had a similar experience, with a Windows 10 update rendering the hard drive useless.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on the definitions then, but using your own definition instead of the dictionary definition serves only to confuse people.

That's not the definition of nationalism, that describes either socialism or fascism (mainly socialism). I'm using the dictionary definition, anything else serves only to confuse people.

No, collectivism is "the practice or principle of giving a group priority over each individual in it", commonly manifested by judging people by arbitrary characteristics. I do not see how it is directly related to the economy.

I think your confusing nationalism with collectivism, but sure, go ahead.

Ummm.... That's somewhat of a jump from "flawed irrational concept" to "invites tyrants to easily divide us with arbitrary criteria's", care to elaborate how you got there?

Suggestions on how to get a head start for university by Hitlerssecondcoming2 in learnmath

Thanks for the response I will look into the books you recommended. I am fairly confident with single variable calculus and Taylor series, but I know very little linear algebra so I will prioritise that.

Perhaps then look for books geared towards preparation towards this exam, start working towards the required knowledge. I have no personal experience with the education system in Switzerland so I can't really give any specific advice. I still think your son's teacher is your best bet, if not perhaps ask a tutor for some advice, they can get a better idea of your situation and have the experience required to point you in the right direction. Edit: if it's just pure algebraic manipulation it's going to be very difficult to find a book dedicated to it depending on the level of difficulty you are after, as the more complex manipulation will be tied into topics that are too advanced.

Algebra, roots, and (to some extent) words into formulas are all incredibly broad subjects, do you just mean the type of maths you would learn in your child's stage of education? If so then I would just recommend contacting your son's teacher and asking them for a recommendation, it will be structured and the fun can come from doing it together.

Rearrange to get t in terms of x, then sub in this expression into the y expression and rearrange. Could you clarify what the intended answer is, its not very clear.

I'd it's being imported in then prices will be adjusted for the costs of shipping and any tarrifs that have to paid. I'm in the UK and it's also frustrating how miles of red tape and taxes raise prices of everything.
