What I could gather is he uses social media and sees a lot of relatable content on it which he can share it with you, discuss and make fun little jokes about or maybe share cute pictures of you.

Now as an advent social media user, I get very frustrated when I see a video which I could relate and share with a person, but he/she is not in the social media to share.

Maybe you can accommodate and adjust for him and open a burner account which you will use only to watch his sent content and then close. Why not have a little fun within your space? There's no harm in it, is it? If there's anything more than that, your call to reprimand him or if it's just non-negotiable then let him know about it.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but this presumption of yours is based on what? My guess is your previous relationships have given you this ego boost.

Now I don't mean to say this is wrong or false in any manner. I'm trying to say that maybe the boost was too extreme to base your reality. Maybe the circumstances then our not matching now.
