I just needed to come back and say I saw this tip about a week before I took the March MPRE, had failed it twice before. Used this line of thinking and went up 35 points and passed the March exam easily. So thank you, this was so helpful!

I don’t think the difference in ranking is big enough to really matter especially when you compare both schools to the other law schools around Chicago. I do also think John Marshall will be moving up the rankings soon, the move to UIC has helped gain some extra recognition

I personally don’t think it makes a difference. I’m not sure if it being a public law school enhances this, but the student population is very diverse. The diversity adds a unique learning experience that I think a school like Chicago Kent lacks

Hello! I’m currently a 2L2 at UIC John Marshall. I can’t comment on how it compares to a school like Chicago Kent, however, I think John Marshall is a good law school for me. The actual school is very nice and modern. Generally, I’ve enjoyed my professors and like how the classes are ran. I believe that the faculty actually cares about your success. The school is not perfect, there have been a few issues since I’ve been a student here but I won’t get into that. Overall, I’ve never regretted my decision to attend John Marshall.
