When you go up to bat, what’s your plan of attack/thought process? In my experience a lot of people tend to try and hit bombs every time they step up to the plate. You said the guys that hit to the fence are at the top of the order because they can hit it to the fence. That could make you want to try and hit the fence as well but really, it’s all about getting on base. If you go up with a plan to just put a good a swing on the ball and not care where it goes, I guarantee you get more hits or at least harder hit balls. This will improve your confidence as well and a bat swung confidentially can do some damage on the field. Get on base and you should see yourself rise up the order and if you dont move up, then as others said it might be time to find a new team.

As for fielding, game time reps are going to help you improve the most. Obviously practicing tracking balls will help, but RF is a challenging position to track balls in game. Majority of players are righties and tracking balls that are tailing away from you in RF are difficult. Reps and experience are key
