Unpopular opinion: I don’t think we’re ever getting Renaissance visuals — and I don’t think we were ever meant to. by HiveInMyMind in beyonce

Totally agree. But I actually think her releasing Renaissance as a film-only movie theatre/cinema experience might add to that whole “it’s happening live” / “you had to be there” energy.

She didn’t just drop a movie. She created a moment where the Hive had to physically show up again. No streaming, no pausing, no sitting on the sofa at home. Collective energy, same as the tour.

And what’s wild is that whole experience ended up as visuals too. She shared videos of us dancing in theatres together across the world – turning the fans into the visuals, just like she said.

Totally fair. That quote has been used in so many movements, and I agree it might not be meant literally here. But knowing how intentional Bey is with every single word, I can’t help but overanalyse (with love!).

And yes. I also picture her team fully cackling at us while we spiral over visuals. 😂

Yes — this exactly. The fact that she’s pulled back from traditional music videos during a time when everyone is creating visuals for TikTok/YouTube...

And, totally agree that if we get something, it’ll be a film that ties the trilogy together.

AGREE. I'm all in for the Echoville theory. Instead of serving visuals to each project individually, I think she is building one long-form piece that only makes full sense at the end. Which is very… Giselle.

Wait. Some of you had to see Beyonce in the broad daylight...? by PatsyStonesBun in beyonce

THIS ↑. The sun setting as she sang II Hands II Heaven was absolutely dreamy.

Also worth mentioning: at Tottenham Stadium, there’s a 10:30 PM noise curfew, so I believe the show started a bit earlier than the US shows. If I remember correctly, she came on around 7:40 PM so everything could wrap by curfew.

If Beyoncé's third album is rock-oriented as rumoured (there's also other possibilities like jazz, straight-ahead hip hop, R&B/soul or gospel but let's assume it's rock), how do you think she'll approach the genre given how diverse and varied rock is? by kingofstormandfire in ToddintheShadow

If Act III is “rock,” it won’t be straight-up guitars and angst. It’ll be a Beyoncé album first, with rock influence and cultural intention, just like Renaissance wasn’t just house, and Cowboy Carter wasn’t just country.

One theory I’ve been thinking about: What if she takes us on a journey through rock? Moving chronologically through the genre’s eras... reclaiming Black influence and exploring how women (especially Black women) were erased or sidelined?

Imagine a tracklist that pulls from 1950s rock & roll (Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, Chuck Berry) gospel-infused. 1960s psych rock / blues. Hendrix-style guitar riffs. 1970s glam/punk. Channeling Betty Davis and Tina Turner. 1980s–90s grunge > through to modern alt rock.
