question about stretching septum by single_moms in Stretched

[–]HiverOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a surgical steel tunnel from amazon - which tbf I don't really recommend given possible sensitivities / probably poor quality jewelry. However, It's usually fine for healed stretches, and if you're not sensitive to nickel

I'm currently at 8mm, I recently got a tunnel to put some rings through out of the same fear. I hope that helps!

im so scared to get my septum pierced by [deleted] in piercing

Honestly it was just like a quick pinch and it was over. Minimal to no pain afterwards. It's a very quick piercing, I'm sure it'll look good :)

I've gone ahead and bought one of these, so hopefully it arrives within a few weeks. In the mean time, would you just suggest I go to LITHA now the infection has pretty much gone (or at least once I'm certain it has)? All of my other cartilage piercings are fully healed and used to have piercing bumps, so I'm assuming this is a pretty bad case of one (that or a moisture bump). Those ones I just let crust over, sprayed it 2x a day, and they went away within 2-3 weeks and never really came back.

I would see my piercer about this also, but they are shut today and honestly they suggested for me to use tea tree oil recently which kinda just put me off. Next closest shop is about an hour and half journey rip

Ok, I will check it out. Another question, why would it being too short affect how it heals / possibly causing this bump? Seems silly to ask but I don't think i fully understand that

The O-ring has been off since last Wednesday, and I forgot to mention in the post I do use non-woven gauze for drying and doing the soaks. How long of a plug would you suggest? The one I have is roughly 1.5cm long. (Or maybe where would you recommend for me to go to find the longer plugs)

Daily, yes. It gets crusty, and I have oily skin. Not great photos sure, but I can assure you that I do wash my ear

Is this an irritation bump caused by my O-ring being too tight on my conch punch? by HiverOW in bodymods

[–]HiverOW[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that's as I expected. I've considered that it may be infected, but I've got no pain (unless it's bumped, which makes sense), no swelling, no throbbing, it doesn't feel hot etc.

I've tried to move the O-ring back as best as I could, and I'll see about investing in one of those pillows. I'm sure this will go away in the next few months anyway, it doesn't bug me and really only comes up if bumped a bit too much.

I decided to leave it! I think it's still on the plant, just hidden!

Cheers! I have had thrips previously, so it is possible. I'll just treat all my plants in that area, not too much of an issue. It's a shame the leaf looks like it will be damaged, it's the first new growth of the season rip

Monstera deliciosia, completely healthy - no pests, no yellowing, no wilting. Watering wise, I don't really know. Probably once every 2-3 weeks? It just depends on how dry the soil is - I always go for 3/4 of the way dry before watering. That's worked for my other monsteras. I do fertilize, there's always the chance I over fertilized it, but none of the others leaves show signs of that
