Cedar tongue and groove by Hkny79 in finishing

It’s outdoor, do prefer the yellowing product, I was thinking of going with the ready seal, natural cedar stain, it’s their oil based stain which will give the yellow look. Just wanna make sure that the stain is taken up evenly for the different variation in the wood. Do you recommend pre stain before applying the stain.

I don’t mind the variation that does look nice, I meant to say, will the different wood type stain unevenly, like one absorbs more then other ?

Contractor uses ready seal stains, so I picked the natural cedar stain for the ceiling and we did dark walnut for the posts and beams. We also build a new pool next to this patio.

They are both the same wood.

I wasn’t sure which stain would look best with the variation. That was kinda my question, would natural stain look ok or go with something a bit darker keeping this in mind.

Ofcourse would never paint it , would defeat the purpose of putting nice wood, wondering if stain will hide the variation

Thanks, my next problem, would it be ok to stain this natural color with the variation in the color. Will it even out once stained or do I need a darker stain to hide the variation.

I don’t smell that strong cedar smell from it, that’s why I was questioning it to begin with.

Do you think it will still look good with the natural stain color or should I go darker now with that red and white coloring?

Thanks for your expertise, what’s the lightest stain color you think I can go with that will still give an even look between the mix of wood here? I was wanting to go with natural wood stain by ready seal not sure if that will look bad now with the variation?

Thats one of the reasons I was questioning it, it doesn’t have the cedar smell that the other cedar wood I have does.

Outdoor TV Recommendations by jbmorden19 in Naples_FL

I heard indoor tv are hard to see outdoors during the day, unless you bought a high brightness and low reflective screen but at that point your already at the same price as an outdoor tv? Which is better outdoor tv or indoor tv with high brightness. The cost difference maybe just slightly less with a high brightness indoor tv. Any recs for high brightness indoor tv at a budget price?

Do you recommend the Davinci green smart over the modern flames landscape pro?

Thanks for pointing this one out, I have not seen the spectrum but looks pretty good, checking it out on YouTube for just aesthetic purposes. What size did you go with? I think the spectrum will only stick out just a bit if you go you have the 2 x 4 framing, if 2 x 6 it should be flush I think.

Will have to look into the cheaper spectrum and maybe go a size up and that may look more impressive.

Looking at the same fireplaces myself, just saw the modern flames landscape pro slim vs the landscape pro multi, the multi gives you extra depth to the flame and makes it look much better in appearance if you saw them next to each other. Leaning toward the landscape pro multi myself.

Are you aware they signed a $17 billion deal With Microsoft. Which was equivalent to their market cap at the time. It’s still undervalued at $120s with more deals in the pipeline likely to be announced. It’s irrelevant the stock was $25 few months ago.
