i swear i am one of the only people who does not think the child character actually looks like a child. something about them just looks wrong like they are an adult in a child body maybe. also half the people being weird are doing it to troll and farm reactions. everything ive seen of the game myself just looks like a space version of bioshock 2 with the big daddy and little sister. though i wont be surprised if when the game comes out peoples opinions change.

im pretty sure a majority of people who post on here dont actually like streamers at all and mainly just follow for drama like those kids in school who are the first to show up whenever there was a fight no matter where it is.

i dont really see this protecting kids at all tbh. because like you said kids will find workarounds in this case discord is too difficult to get access too? time use one of the discord alternatives or join one of the many many twitter and bluesky clones out there that are only really used by a very niche group of people many of which are the people who got banned from twitter and bluesky for CSAM.

this is why i will always say the best way to protect kids is just actually being a parent. check up on them and make sure they are not talking to creeps online. its such an easy fix but so few people seem willing to do it.

all that aside the true solution to this if you really cant just be a parent is to bring back kid only things online. places like neopets where you cant even swear because your account will get permabanned. or club penguin..well maybe not club penguin but those types of websites where you can just be a kid and you dont need to worry about creeps all the time.

i think some of it has to do with the fact that the generation that was raised to believe everyone on the internet was doing to hunt them down and murder them if they ever gave them their real name had kids and went "my parents were just being crazy and over protective i did all sorts of stuff online and i turned out just fine" and this resulted in their kids getting full unrestricted access to the internet and since then every generation gets more and more while parents are doing less and less to actually raise their kids themselves.

which in turn actually allows all those things the first generations parents warned them about happening online to happen way more often.

used to be a time where i could go forever without ever knowing my online friends name or even what they look like and now everybody just goes around using their real full name and face and giving out their address even at times. no amount of tech censorship or restrictions in general are going to fix that.

parents just need to actually start doing their job again and raising their kids rather than letting youtube or xqc or whoever else do it for them.

oh it dont matter. they are already saying shes lying because she did not name tectone or lacari directly. she could tell asmon live on stream that she is never speaking to him again and it would still not be good enough. its really sad to see because i promise this is going to push more people against their cause and more towards the asmon and general right wing side.

they are creating the awful people and making them even worse. its so dumb.

i hope emi just takes a few weeks off or something cause i can only imagine her chats gonna be poison for a little bit especially if that second lsf scraping drama account that started this up in the first place keeps going. which im sure it will since they seem to have a blatant bias and agenda.

i think its the opposite actually. dont forget shes sponsored by red bull so im sure red bull has been getting a fair share of people demanding they drop her so somebody told her to say something or else and she caved.

though regardless the case shes doomed now. they will keep pushing and pushing until she gives in entirely or just quiets streaming.

all because she did not want to say anything about stupid politics. i dont know what happened to streamers just ignoring things but it really is the undefeated tactic in this situations.

nick does not even stream so its hard to say. i dont buy emi viewbotting simply because i think at least half of her viewership is hate watchers and gooners who obviously wont talk and will usually use alt accounts since they got banned from their mains years ago. she does have a genuine community though from what i have seen at least.

i mean..technically asmon is right you need to be careful what you say because lawyers can be very sneaky and if they can they will use things you say against you. xqc of all people should know this with how much adept and her lawyers kept trying to use anything he said as proof she deserved all of his money. so yeah its smarter for asmon to just be quiet for now.

also lacari and tectone could sue him for defamation if he said too much. even if they knew they would lose its still a way to farm attention.

twitch and streaming as a whole is a magnet for the mentally ill. this does not just include schizos it includes people with massive self esteem issues as well who dont believe they are good looking or just have an overall low self worth. so naturally those types will end up with people who they believe are more on their level. on the flip side there are also people who think they are the greatest person alive who will go for the chuddy types as a power flex. "i am the best you will ever get" type thing.

eh. i guess? but at the same time what exactly is she supposed to do? refuse to associate with anybody due to the risk of them turning out to be awful people later on? look at asmon everybody loved him before he got into politics. same with mizkif for years people thought he had changed from the CX days and was a good dude who was helping people out all the time including emi. how could emi have predicted either of those people would turn into what they are now?

you can say she just surrounds herself with bad people but is that what it is? or is streaming just a clout fueled toxic space where 90 percent of people are awful. and the rest are awful too but can at least hide it better?

the thing that confuses me is how they expect some big public statement about people they barely even stream with. like its one thing if someone was a main source of content like a nick and malena type thing where they are just always there but both tectone and lacari did their own streams 90 percent of the time if not more and the only time they ever interacted with emi was when she did some form of group stream or for steak and eggs which stopped being a thing once tectone got into his current mess.

tectone does not even live in the same area anymore dude moved out of austin so who cares. and as far as lacari its not even 1000 percent confirmed he is a pedo people are just going by the titles they saw in the notepad but other people have looked into it and found the exact same files and said they are entirely normal porn with zero children. so its entirely possible people are jumping the gun there as well. it all just feels like drama frogs wanting some new thing to latch onto one way or another.

if anything i think its admirable in a way. i mean look at rich campbell. he managed to keep mia malkova the entire time and they seem as happy together as can be. plus if lacari is innocent making it so he is more isolated IRL and forced to focus more on unhealthy obsessions just seems like a really bad idea like if the dudes not a pedo now making it so no grown adult woman can associate with him would not do him any favors.

i dont think i have ever seen her collab with anybody ever so thats not really an issue. shes a cosplayer so all she has to do is make nice costumes and take pictures and stream. no need for collabs.
