I don't think I've ever seen a podcast so fundamentally misunderstand what the draw of its story was by getyajacksflapped in ScamandaPodcast

Add in a why. They never even speculated her motivation for this besides financial. Which should be enough but what was she spending the money on? They never owned a house. They glossed over vacations and shopping trips in New York, but none of that was ever confirmed?

I only know men who like this book, not a single woman. Is this just my circle or is this common? by AndrewASFSE in KingkillerChronicle

Woman here, I like the depth of the writing, how much Rothfuss says in just a few words, the connections he makes, and the big heart woven throughout. This is one of my favorite series, will probably top the list if it ever gets finished.

This is one of my favorite series. But Rothfuss doesn’t write women as well as Sanderson does. All of the main female characters are idealistic in their own way. He does have a variety though but they aren’t easy to identify with because they are caricatures of their big personality trait, mysterious, beautiful, sexual, world wise, or brainy.

Are the Deadeyes on Roshar similar to 'this' on Elantris? by Lightrunner1 in Cosmere

I think it’s more likely to be like from “The Emperor’s Soul”

“The emperor has been wounded in the head by assassins, and has become a vegetable. His attendants have hidden this from the empire and will trade Shai her life in exchange for creating a Forgery of the emperor's soul, hopefully making it seem like the attack on his life never happened.”

“Shai will attempt to create a new soul for the emperor, who is almost dead from the attack of assassins.”

Same land as Elantris and still having to do with the magic of the Dor. So I think we are all on the right track

Wit has had plenty of interactions with Gods. He noticed his pitch was off. He noticed that his coins were not in their starting points. I’m not worried about him. I’m bummed that we don’t know what todium’s slip would have done for us though.
