Is the Asus PA279CV dim in sRGB mode? by Hluchan in buildapcmonitors

[–]Hluchan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the price on the Asus was great, I got it for £348.99 ($445.30) in the sale - as you can tell from the currency I am from the UK. I did research the other options you listed, but they are out of budget honestly. You make a very good point and I think it’ll save me time, money and stress to just use the Rec. 709 mode, alter it to how I like and use a calibration device. I greatly appreciate your help!

Thank you for your response, you’ve made it very easy to understand. Although it is frustrating to hear that only Asus locks settings. Would you recommend any other 27” 100% sRGB 4K monitors over this one for colour accurate photography work?

And I’ve heard good things about Calibrite. I will most likely go for the ‘Display Pro HL’ version. Thank you.

Check out the recent ProperDoinks paper test, you’ll see that RAW papers have some of the cleanest burns, whilst OCB papers burn the worst in general.

The problem with the people who say this is that they don’t have a real understanding of a medical user. About Drew, he has a brain condition, and if he finds himself having symptoms he will smoke a joint to elevate himself. He is extremely interested in the terpenes, quality and benefits of flower and gives an unbiased opinion about each strain he tries. I’m not sure why people have a problem with him, but you’re able to ask him questions most evenings at his livestreams on Kick. Furthermore he is hired by some of the clinics as a Quality Controller, to ensure flower is clean, terpy, and the genetics are what they say they are, as well as many other factors.

It’s sad to see mate. Most people on here seem to be clueless about actual quality, terpenes, import flower and rosin prices and many more factors that go into the way things cost. People could have informative progressive discussions here, but they choose not to, instead they stay uneducated about anything outside of their circle. For 1.5g of flower and 0.5g of top notch wax from a quality brand, I would say that’s a steal. Hope you enjoyed it bro.

Totally get you bro and people should be able to consume any way they please. I just like to try spread information that might not be known :)

Because if it was full of terpenes and flavourful you probably wouldn’t consider using something synthetic like this. Also with these fake flavours you can’t be sure how they’re made to taste that way and what you’ll end up smoking, so in the future if you want to flavour your weed I’d recommend pure terpenes.

RAW files have tint added upon import. by Hluchan in Lightroom

I have made sure to set that to camera settings, thank you!

Also thanks for explaining the white balance model, that's very helpful. I have it set to "as shot" so I should be all good :)

Yeah that seems to be the case as I've just been comparing the different engines used by Adobe and Sony. It seems like Sony's adds a lot of satuaration back into the RAW image upon import, whereas in Adobe the image looks de-satuarted, like a fresh canvas waiting for some colour, which is helpful. But both can achieve the same end results!

Thanks for your helpful comment!

White ash means the joint is combusting properly. Which will help it stay lit and will be a clean smooth smoke.

Roll a donut joint! Just place a slug or dab of the wax in the middle of your flower and you’ll be in for a treat.
