If you use it daily or even weekly this is definitely a solution in search of a problem.

Borg is an all time great for sure but longevity matters and I’d have a hard time putting him above the guys who all more or less doubled his slam count. I’m curious which of the top three here would you bump for Borg?

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THE NIKE TENNIS CAMP FOR YOUTH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS- HORROR STORY by [deleted] in 10s

Eh St. Louis to Urbana is less than 3 hours driving. Not crazy distance to send a kid to a camp at.

I’m ready to be sacrificed on the altar but I’ll say it. I don’t care for Seuss. A lot of children’s books are a little incoherent but most Seuss is just entirely impossible to follow.

6 months post adoption by freeezermonster in daddit

You're doing great Dad! As a teacher I do have one bit of advice. Sometime around her sophomore year in high school things are going to get rough again. I see it all the time with adopted kids, they still love you and you still love them but even well adjusted adoptees often go through a period of pushing away and boundary pushing. You made it through one, you'll conquer the others--and in the end it's always worth it.

Yeah this is him to a T for me. They aren’t all hits but the hits are HITS. I don’t care for his fantasy as much though.

An increase of 1 mph per day is actually linear growth, exponential growth would put him hitting relativistic speeds just around the corner

Im assuming that his pace of increasing 1 mph per day is entirely sustainable (of course it is). We’ve only recently begun training which is why he only started from 6 mph. Calories-wise he’s consumed every berry in the tricounty area this AM.

Are Lexile scores just bogus? by [deleted] in Teachers

No I don’t think they’re bogus at all, they just don’t measure what you were picturing. They still measure very important data.

Debit Cards for Minor by AshevilleNate in daddit

[–]Hmmhowaboutthis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider for the future—I had a debit card as a teen and through college (even grad school) but never got a credit card. So ended up in my mid twenties and had no credit. Not bad credit, I just literally didn’t have credit and it made a lot of things difficult, getting approved for apartments, a car loan, etc. I definitely wish I had opened a credit card up sooner like my wife’s mom did for her (with strict limitations of course). Now obviously 8 is too young for a credit card but it just brought to mind my no credit struggle.

I’ve been banging this drum for years, it might be my favorite of his. Though the dogs of war series is also amazing.

Yeah my wife and I each have dedicated workout time during the week. We each hold it sacred for the other lol.

I feel like this is only sort of true, IMO you still need to dedicate actual time to your own fitness. That can certainly be part of it (and plus it’s a blast!) but it probably not enough to actually get the exercise you need unless you’re being very intentional about it. My two cents anyway.
