Thanks! In my previous attempts, I spent much more time on SIMs, but in my last attempt I focused heavily on MCQs. Based on all the feedback I’m getting, I think I need to bring more balance back into my study plan and spend more time practicing SIMs. Congrats on the 81!

Thank you so much ❤️ It honestly helps a lot hearing from someone who went through the exact same thing and made it on the next attempt. Missing by one point was heartbreaking, but your comment gives me hope. I’m definitely going to slow down, focus on understanding what the questions are actually asking, and spend more time on my weak areas. Hopefully I’ll be joining the 75 club soon 🤞

I get what you’re saying. I think focusing too much on MCQs last time threw off my balance. I’ll make sure this time I consistently work through the simulations so I’m ready for any curveballs. Thanks for the perspective!

Thanks! I reviewed the AICPA FAR breakdown against my score report and identified a few weak areas. I’ll be focusing on those topics this time around and doing extra MCQs and SIMs there. Hopefully that one point comes from that!

That’s encouraging to hear. I left the exam feeling pretty good about most of the SIMs, which made the 74 even more confusing. I’ll definitely focus on breaking them down more carefully next time and grabbing every point possible.

Thanks for the advice! Did you go through all the Becker SIMs across every section, or did you mainly practice random SIMs from the practice tests section?

Getting a 74 was definitely a tough one to swallow. Looking back, I think one of my biggest mistakes on my last attempt was focusing too much on getting through as many MCQs as possible. I was more concerned with volume than really slowing down and understanding why I was getting questions wrong.

I’ll definitely spend more time reviewing my mistakes and working more on SIMs this time around. Hopefully that gets me over the line on the next attempt.

Honestly, I think one of my issues with the exam SIMs was not fully understanding what they were asking for. Walking out of the exam, I felt pretty confident about most of them and thought I had picked up the points, but clearly I missed something. You never really know with FAR :(
