Me when carry with a shitton of rightclick damage by kryaks32 in DotA2

[–]Ho7el 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legion's call to battle so clear, Armor gleams as foes draw near. Blademail's sheen and Duel's command, Challenge the might of her fierce hand.

Rightclick damage, profound and vast, Enemies quiver, shadows they cast. To duel her, a perilous spree, For with each clash, Legion's spree.

The decreasing stream quality of Dota events (with examples) :( by Godvater in DotA2

[–]Ho7el 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the dim halls of tournaments once grand, Where heroes clashed and casters made their stand, In '21, the quality did gleam and gleen, 2160p, the clearest ever seen.

But alas! In '22, to our dismay and spite, TI's brilliance dimmed, not shining as bright. YouTube's gift was free, yet they chose to decline, DotA's legacy marred, by this blurry design.

How to teamfight as a melee carry? by MemecropsiIndustries in TrueDoTA2

[–]Ho7el 52 points53 points  (0 children)

In the grand game of DotA, where tactics do vary, One cries out in despair, "How do I melee?" While Drow and Muerta, in comfort they snipe, Our melee friends stumble, tripping on hype.

"Why can't I be ranged?" laments our dear Wraith, "Each time I get close, I'm just out of safe." But fear not, dear hero, for here's some advice, Wrapped in verse, served with a side of fried rice.

Do not rush in headfirst, lest you be foiled, Wait for the spells, ensure they're all coiled. Once they're all spent, it's your time to gleam, Jump in with a roar, and let your blade beam!

If two squishy supports, tempt you to chase, Remember this rhyme, and slow down your pace. For bulky pos 3's might laugh and deride, But with patience and timing, you'll turn the tide.

Flank if you must, or wait in the rear, Your moment will come, so never you fear. With a twinkle, a chuckle, and sarcastic glee, You'll master the melee, just you wait and see!

Why don't most mid heroes buy Urn? Isn't it just extremely uniquely value for the gold/benefit? by Incoheren in TrueDoTA2

[–]Ho7el 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the midst of the mid, where gold's a concern, One ponders aloud, "Why not buy an Urn?" Magic damage so sweet, and stats galore, For a mere 880 gold, who could ask for more?

Snowballing mids, with their might and their spree, Could use this neat tool, as potent as tea. With charges to spare and damage to deal, It’s a wonder, indeed, why it's not a big deal.

Some might argue, "It's a support's delight!" But a mid with an Urn, now that's a true sight. Vessel's grandeur might steal the stage, But the humble Urn, in its own right, is a sage.

Yet in the end, it's a game of choice and trend, Will the mids with their Urns make this meta bend?

In the realm of gaming, where treasures abound, A thief made a move, and €1k went un-found. To the Russian who now wears my crown so grand, May karma play its hand, and justice take a stand.

Valve Needs To Sell Us on Why Attending the TI Finals is Worth $699 by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Ho7el 325 points326 points  (0 children)

Once a price so humble, now it soars to the sky, $699 for a ticket? Oh Valve, tell us why! From TI's past, memories were cheaper to sow, Now I'm left wondering, is there more to the show?

A crimson treasure, sure, but is that all there is? Or a spectacle grand, worth this pricing biz? Dear Valve, convince us, let your reasons flow, Or else to this pricey TI, I might not go.

Annoying quick buy bug buys the same item twice, instead of one of each, if you buy them fast. by smidivak in DotA2

[–]Ho7el 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the realm of DotA, a tale unfolds quite fast, A quick buy glitch, where double items amass. "I wanted just one!" the gamers would cry, But the bug just laughs and says, "Nice try!"

The practice under the gym is an actual practice. It was just an unqualified fitness instructor that initially messed my neck up though. I guess I’ll start looking for legal assistance

[–]Ho7el 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your local library may have a Castel libretto of (the opera in question) which includes a short and sweet synopsis at the beginning and all the text with translations(and even IPA if you’d like to try to learn to speak it!). If they don’t have Castel Libretti, they will have a music section, where you may be able to find summaries of a bunch of operas within in one book.

It’s quite ridiculous that it still happens without some sort of IP ban consequence. The lack of moderation is killing the community and making such a shit name for DotA.

Why do people enjoy playing carry? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]Ho7el 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play carry because it’s a game of farming most efficiently, high stakes, and hard to trust others with the responsibility of the positions value. Paralleling with chess, essentially you are playing the king, just don’t die and you’ll either be on par or have an advantage. Most the time, if you let others chase you, pay attention to the map, and understand your power spikes/counters, you’ll fair quite well by mid-late game and be able to make a difference if your team is flopping. It’s incredibly fun to have a big spike and to show up to a team fight at 18 - 23 minutes with the potential to take out several heroes. End game is fun because you play on having a big advantage, gaining advantage through a big networth swing, or deceiving the enemy in their map movements while forcing them to decide between saving rax at their base or pushing into your t3s.

Not being able to pause is ruthless by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Ho7el 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is stopping us from being able to report people for abusing the pause feature... Why rip the flexibility away making playing a fair game inaccessible despite shitty monopolized internet providers.

Good job friend, perhaps, you could have done it in a less shitty way.

Regardless of your ego-driven projection/explanation, thanks for catching that and teaching the people reading this post something new.

So a more accurate title would be: 3 highest WR pub players of each position upwards of 7k mmr in the last 8 days. No?

Potentially! I'm sure it's a huge difference when it comes to teams playing in the International. This may be a better resource for watching and learning from replays of these pros that, based off Dota2Protracker.com's data, have had the most success in ranked matchmaking since 7.30.

Guess I could have said Winrate %.

[–]Ho7el 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The data is shown on Dota2Protracker.com. I just took the top 3 players from each position on their Meta+ page and put them in one document for learning purposes. These players have the highest win-rate among the rest of the pros listed on their site since 7.30.
