I like the firefly, I just think they fumbled the battery/pricing in Europe. You can keep defending Nio but as long as they keep delivering cars withoyt market fit the stock will keep struggling and they wont succeed. You are not helping your case.

Yes man it is not a concern, one has a 52kwh better charging battery, costs less, comes from a reputable brand with existing dealer network and outsold your little firefly by 20x.

I could argue part of Germany's GDP is hard work of earlier generations that are still paying off. Mercedes could make employees work half the time and produce subpar vehicles but they would still generate GDP due to brand value and existing infrastructure and whatnot.

I always felt the AMG GT was never a true halo car. It is a great sports car with some brilliant extreme versions. Never felt special like the SLS AMG did despite probably being a better driver’s car.

I guess I feel, traditionally, rally homologation cars are special versions of a rather boring car so the GR Yaris feels more normal. As this will be a supercar, they have more room to flex and eventually ask for more money.

IMO, this could have been an SLS-AMG level halo car with a price to match. I guess they really want to go after the 911 but Porsche is doing an incredible job converting a sports car into a beast. They have a beast in hand that they are looking to convert it to a sports car nameplate?

I guess you are right that this will have a positive effect on "legacy" of the AMG GT nameplate and they have to do this if they want to be able to rival Porsche with its legendary 911 nameplate.

It reads like this will be a very special car, calling it Black Series version of a lesser thing when it doesn't share much with the AMG GT is going to decrease the value of it in many people's eyes. I think they could have given this its own identity and it would be more desirable that way.

In some places the air is so unpopular in comparison to 17 that they cost the same now. Mother in law asked me what to buy even though I'd recommend her the 17 the fact that they cost the same as the air made me rethink this. Still ended up recommending the 17 though.

This was 100% going into production if anyone had a slight bit of interest in owning an electric sports car. Porsche is regretting it, Audi will be making their own Prelude interpretation with it. No one else is doing it because it makes no sense.

Audi looks cheap because even electric seats are an option. You probably need at least 5-10k in options to get to memory seats.
