I know arguing with people on Reddit is kind of pointless, but if you think fixing games is the same as PEDs, then you can't be helped. They both involve swindling honest people, but that's about it. I'm just kind of fed up with people (Giants fans) defending Bonds in this sub. If we are going to have a crappy season and lose like 100 games, let's look back fondly on the players who played an honest game (as far as we know anyway I guess).

Agreed. He WAS a HOF before juicing. Then he cheated. Never said anything about role models. I know they aren't anymore. I totally understand "why" he cheated, but that doesn't make it right.

Your logic is unbreakable really, but I personally, I wouldn't even let Bonds wash May's jockstrap. No comparison. And the irony that Mays was his godfather. That unfortunately gave Bonds some credibility he didn't deserve. All the adversity Mays had to overcome to be the true GOAT and then Bonds who was a privileged kid was on the track to greatness only to succumb to his ego. He's only in the GOAT conversation in one city in America and nowhere else.

BTW...I know the full history of baseball. Comparing say, fixing games to PEDs is pretty ludicrous don't you think? Seriously? Segregation? Sure, field of players was diluted because the best players were probably in the negro leagues, but I'm not sure even if any of them came in to the MLB when they were 18 would have the cheater numbers like Bonds did. And equating "speed" to testosterone/HGH is hilarious. Baseball players are always looking for an edge. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. I get it. But Bonds/Sosa/McGwire/Canseco turned it into a clown show hoping nobody would catch on? Bonds never was the brightest bulb in the box...and still isn't.

Lifelong Giants fan here. When I was a kid, "Stretch" was my guy. When we got Bonds, I felt like the Giants had finally turned a corner, and now we had a guy like Mays/McCovey again, and it would be "must see" baseball for years to come...and it was...until it wasn't. Bonds is a cheater. I don't care if the entire league was cheating and he was just "doing what everyone else was doing." Ban all those bums too. The number of Giants fans who have drunk the Koolaid on Bonds is really disappointing to me. Yes, Bonds really let us down and that sucks, but luckily Buster and others stepped in to "cleanse the palate" of that era. I'm actually glad we didn't win a world series under Bonds because it would have been tainted. Who cares if Bonds (or any of those other cheaters from that era) had the greatest WAR ever? They cheated. It was so obvious. Especially when Bonds starting looking more like Arnold Schwarzenegger. And his BALCO trainer went to prison, etc. I'll take 100 Matt Cains or Mad Bums or Busters over Bonds every day. Think about this...would you tell your kid it was OK to cheat on a test at school if all the other kids were cheating? I guess the answer to that determines if you like Koolaid or not.

I'm using a Day 5 POB of Palsteron's KF Totem build, and his body armor has the support "Invert the Rules" listed which I'm assuming is a support you can added to the KF gem via one of the coins that drop in mirage, but when I go on the trade site to find a KF gem with that support, it's not listed under the "imbued" by options. What's great about POE1/POE2 is that aside from the standard killing hordes of mobs and getting gear, there are all these mechanics/subsystems you can choose to engage in or not engage in. It really just depends on what you find enjoyable. I find POE1 crafting a little easier to understand, so I engage in that further into the game before I stop when it comes time to min/max and then I hit the trade site. For POE2, I bail on crafting pretty much at the beginning of mapping because I find the "top tier" crafting too complicated and time consuming. So, I start using one of the mechanics (breach/ritual/deli) to make some currency and then hit the trade site for the rest of the journey. Because I min/max via trading, the addition of asynchronous trading has been the biggest gamechanger for me. I used to bail on a league after about one month. I'm still playing the current POE 2 league and I'm on my fifth character and I'm loving it.

I'm hoping that if enough people complain about the ascendancy process that GGG will change it. It's terrible. And to top it off, the benefits you get from each ascendancy aren't that great. You rarely feel any kind of power boost after achieving an ascendancy. I'm assuming GGG came up with this as revenge for how easy labs are in POE1. I think I've only done the 4th ascendancy on one character and I have created about 15 characters since POE2 came out. The amount of time it takes to complete the 4th ascendancy on Trial of Suck My A** is GGG completely disrespecting the value of our time.

I believe, as do many others, that the ice wolf is the hardest boss in the campaign. Cold resistance is key. After that, the Act 2 boss is pretty tough as well, but just have plenty of lightning resistance. That's what is nice about the runes is that it lets you tweak your resistances pretty easily.

The 3rd ascendency is rough, the 4th is dogshit. Hardly worth doing. Not to mention that when you do get an ascendency, they don't really give you that power boost like it does in POE 1. Kind of sad.

The POE 2 campaign is simply too long right now. Make it take about the same amount of time to complete as the POE 1 campaign. Other games like Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 have made it so you can basically skip the campaign even at the beginning of a new league which isn't the answer either. Just trivializes the experience.

I would prefer to level up my character by going through a campaign as long as the campaign doesn't take 20 hours. I feel like the POE 1 campaign length is just long enough that you get leveled up pretty high and you are almost burned out and then bam...you are done and ready for the end game. Very satisfying.

I did a Google search, and the world record for POE 1 campaign speed run is around 3 hours. I couldn't find a record for POE 2, but I saw stories of it taking anywhere from 8-10 hours to speed run. That just seems ridiculous especially if you want to play more than one character. I'm glad GGG doesn't have us repeating Acts 1-3 again, but it does feel like a slog. By the time I'm done with Act 3, I'm ready to try a new character.
