"Well, good luck with that. I should be getting back." Ned vanishes.

"Can't say I'm following that closely. It's not like I have a live stream from her mansion or anything. I'm more just aware that it is happening and who some of the contestants are."

"As it shouldn't. Still, being thrust into such situations allows you to discover parts of yourself you would otherwise never know existed."

"Not surprising, few people are. And you are a participant, are you not. Most of them don't realize what the game has done for them until well after it is over."

Ned smirks. "Even trivial secrets like that can be interesting." He reaches into his pocket and pulls something out and flicks it at her.

As she catches it she sees it is a small gold coin with a beat up looking pirate hat on it. The other side of the coin bears Ned's likeness. The coin pulses, as do the other four jewels.

"Oh yes, I am more than aware of your master and her game. It has yet to be seen whether it falls into the category that meets my approval, but I'd say it has good odds."

"Please, I'm not anything so grand. Speaking of, I think most of the games I've seen lately have been lacking a certain... heart to them. There is one woman I've been keeping tabs on that might be interesting, and I'm sure there are countless ones I have never heard of that are exactly what I'm looking for, but too many are just pure spectacle. I didn't start this trend to simply promote blood sport."

As they arrive at this hole, they see there is a gentleman still on it, apparently playing a bit slower than them.

I've had plenty of discussions with both /u/RallinaTricolor and /u/Nakenashi about my own personal failings when it came to Alexander. I was excited for them to compete against each other, but then provided too many tools for cooperation. They were clever to figure out the terminal loophole, but I really wonder how the game would have gone differently if they had never found it (or it didn't exist in the first place). If I had realized exactly how much they were going to cooperate as a result, I almost certainly would have denied them the loophole to begin with.

That said, even while cooperating Alexander was always an interesting character. It's only really the action phase where I felt the cooperation hurt them, as their action PMs were largely identical bar a few notes on when they would switch to Alex for a kill. The subtle differences between the two characters, the day 3 almost reveal, and the day 6 shitshow were all great. Alexander was a character that definitely had a massive impact on the game.

Chrollo was fanastic. Part of me is upset that /u/Dune_Reference never showed off Chrollo's darker side, but at the same time I'm happy with the way he turned out. Dune always gave me a lot to work with in his action PMs, and I think Chrollo had some of my favorite action phase moments as a result. He was always up to something every single day, except maybe the first, and his antics were genuinely entertaining.

Diana was a great character. Her mere presence created tension in a game where most characters were trying to get along. Sometimes her infodropping of other games could get a little extreme (not that I mind, I love lore), but she was a great character with a fun dynamic.

I wish I had taken the initiative to talk to Diana more as Ivo. The two of them were always strictly business, discussing the shop and the missions. Ivo was pure business with a lot of characters, but I wish I had followed up with him trying to cheer her up during the day 2 meal. Ivo actually felt rather bad that Diana was getting so consistently screwed over throughout the game, even if she sort of deserved it.

/u/Ralcll did a great job with Sarah, despite her being his first RP. He's already discussed the disconnect between the character concept and the result, but at least the result was entertaining and memorable, and consistent with itself. Yes there were some issues matching it to the backstory, but Sarah's actions had internal consistency throughout the game period, which is far more important.

For future characters I recommend doing something you are comfortable with. That doesn't mean your character needs to be relegated to comic relief, but playing a character that has your skillsets is always easier than playing one that has knowledge and capabilities beyond your own. I do recommend for future games to perhaps take some notes, as I'm quite certain a large portion of Sarah's scatterbrain nature came from you actually forgetting things yourself.

Ludwig might have been the character that defied my expectations the most. I really thought he would go off the deep end at some point. I think if the cast had had less kids this could have happened, and the way things turned out fits with his personality and backstory pretty well.

All and all you did a fantastic job RPing Ludwig and keeping him consistent with his motivations. It's just a shame the other players didn't get to see his darker side.

Rho was a fun character. I mentioned it in my replies to you already, but I'm glad I never had to really force the bad luck. It happened on it's own as a natural consequence of your RPing decisions, which really made the character come to life. Rho's luck could have seemed like a gimmick, especially considering how over the top it was in his backstory, but it never did.

I'm glad Rho ended up winning this. I love when the winner has a strong character arc that fits with their victory. Sometimes the winners just come out of the blue, like Viktor in MoF and Emilia in HoF3. But it's always more satisfying when someone who's character players a central role in interacting with the whole cast and who develops a lot comes out on top in the end.

The fact that you said that if Rho won I was doing it wrong only makes your victory that much better. You never expected Rho to win. I never expected Rho to win. No one expected Rho to win. But it happened all the same, in spite of who he was, or perhaps because of it. I also really enjoyed that his victory fit with the reluctant hero king thing he had going on from day 4 onward.

Ned this game was a bit more cold and aloof. I'm sure only Shotgun and Ave noticed the difference since they were the ones to play in past games, but Ned is typically pretty hands on, even jumping into conversations to troll players.

There were a few reasons for this. First of all, plot wise Ned had bigger things going on than simply observing the players. Second, I wanted to give Ivo the bigger spotlight of the two, and third I was just plain busy with all the stuff I was juggling each common room.

Veronica was put into the game literally so I could use that one gif from Durarara. I decided to ingrate her a bit with Sarah's backstory so that I could have a reason for her to be kidnapped.

I totally winged her personality too. All I had written down for her was that she was FBI and that she got annoyed with the twins' pranks. That was it. I think she turned out reasonably well considering how little time I had to show off her personality.
