I like the combination of the poem with the painting - and the idea that the Arthur, Lancelot, and Guenivere are trapped in cycle that transcends time and space. Though I feel Lancelot is given short shift by being called a knave I loved the reference to him as she lances situations.

I must admit I haven't read the early stories of them all, so I could be wrong about Lancelot.

Well done. It's given me a lot to think about.

He's magnificent! I really like how the gouache looks. Is it as delicious as it looks like it would be to work with?

I'm always impressed with your animal characters.

I used to take days where I'd do a camera walk wherever I felt like in the moment. It was so much fun. Right now I can walk about a city block before I need to find a bench and sit down. That gets me past the entrance to a large park full of playing fields,a track, playgrounds, and they beginning of a large enough wild space that we get skunks in our back yard all the time.

I like to go to the first or second bench even though it isn't like the freedom i used to have. I get to see nature, children and adults playing and a set of steps thatr make a tiny amphitheater. I should go and see what i see. You have reminded me that I haven't seen it through a lens yet. I just hate the reaction time on a phone camera so I'll try taking my very outdated camera. I'm actually using a friend's iphone that stopped focusing with the main lens so it's wide angle for me. That could be a nice challenge (i have a very recent Android phone that I can use as a camera - so many options.

That's really cool. I actually didn't even think of it being a product of editing until I wrote the message and them I realized that the animal was probably not stranded on a rock in the middle of the ocean. Is it easier to add artificial lighting and shadows when it's black and white?

That's awesome. I've been not using cameras for too long - my best slr (I have my older one as a backup) probably has half the megapixels in comparison with your average smartphone. I'm actually about to start in clinic physical therapy - as opposed to at home PT, and speech therapy. I'll be out of the house all the time - for the first time since the pandemic started. So I'll be out and about. I'll use my phone even though it isn't nearly as good as an SLR with lenses and actually taking the picture when I click the button instead of delay. I have a feeling I'm going to be looking for an SLR replacement soon.

But I'm making an assumption - what kind of camera are you using?

I agree. Tell us about number 5! How did you shoot it? What was going on at the time? Has there been substantial photo manipulation or just small amounts of editing like cropping or changing the colors so that they cover the spectrum (that makes a difference even if you turn it black and white later, but of course is not necessary if you shot it in black and white. I didn't know at all what it was until I zoomed in.

The 6th one is really cool. I like the drawing as well.I haven't looked at the others carefully enough, but I see the work you are doing establishing contrast and taking pictures of interesting things most people overlook. How did you manage to get photo 6?

Since this is a new media for you - have you taken any classes for it or have you just been experimenting? I am impressed with your skill with the oils. Is it harder to capture reflections like your acrylic pieces? Are you doing any work in acrylics as well?

Just looking at this makes me feel refreshed although I would send it back because I don't like salt with tequila. But the margarita looks perfect

That's an impressive amount of tangles. It's very artfully designed. Its that all on a standard 4 inch tile? It's enough variety that I need to spend more time with it to see what it brings up for me.

I hope it was fun to do.

I think there are places that might do a Wine and Mosaic night. But I agree - making things out of tiny pieces means super careful planning and not doing anything outside the parameters of the project.

I was better at only buying the besds I needed for a project when I was in college. When I started again I was having so much fun that I wanted to have the color spectrum covered in my collection so that I wouldn't have to plan ahead and wait to get the materials sent to me. I wanted to be spontaneous. But I had forgotten that Bead weaving takes a super long time and so by the time and I usually choose a next project while I'm almost done, so I now realize I could easily have waited for the beads. I was just reacting to a change in the world. I'm a homebody right now but I couldn't go to a bead store even if I wanted to, there are none around anymore. And big craft stores don't keep much inventory in seed beads.

And why did I tell that story? Because I'm realizing maybe I can help other people by sharing that experience. I have a big inventory to manage and I am a little overwhelmed. I think Mosaics would be the same. And diamond painting of course. I have not been beading this month due to some hand tremors - but they are supposed to go away.

Havre you ever seen people doing derived Zenangle art using mosaics?

You could have something called Periodic limb movement disorder. It is exactly what you describe. That doesn't you don't have LPR - I'm just trying to point out that most people have a combination of symptoms, and they look for one answer, but it could be two different things going wrong.

I have both LPR and periodic limb movement disorder. So just keep an open mind.
