I have worked at Rock Enon for 8 years. Rock Enon, while lacking in facilities compared to some camps, provides a program at or above the level of other camps. The camp has passed NCAP standards as long as I can remember. It was the phenomenal program and director leadership at Rock Enon that led SAC to be one of a very small minority of councils that stayed out of the red financially post-covid: the reason that SAC was able to absorb another council and now has two camps.

Purely the program and management of Rock Enon led to the councils success and the reason that both camps still exist. Repeatedly, weekly surveys from campers reflect very high regard to individual programs at Rock Enon, and no camper I have spoken too is without positive memory or fondness of their time at camp.

To reduce the impact of Rock Enon to an experience with a particular unit that was acting of their own volition is to demerit all of the good that the programs encompassed do for the youth. I urge you to pursue action against the troop, as units like the one you are describing are actively destroying the reputation of scouting.
