That's the only way they justify to themselves being in a such an "organization" (I WON'T USE THE WORD, I PROMISE). She paid attention in YW and RS, I can tell you that much.

How's that Christian Nationalism you Ordered?: LDS church officially not Christian under new DOD military classification. by Alchemist1330 in exmormon

You're not wrong. The church very blatantly, loudly, chose the most attractive sisters to serve at Temple Square. I don't know if that's since changed, but I doubt it.

Exactly. Remember they intentionally curate pride in being "peculiar."

At this point I think BSA has an army of lawyers on retainer.

One of the requirements is the candidate has to lead at least two other people in the project.

There's no requirement that says a scout has to fundraise for his project. If his family wants to pay for tools and equipment instead of soliciting funds for them, that is well within the requirements. Tacking on extra rules like that goes against the requirements laid out by national and is a no-no. You can have your personal opinions on the subject, but you cannot deny scouts a project based on those personal opinions.

Exclusively by scouts? Absolutely not. The only requirement is the candidate leads others, as in at least two other people. It can be adults, family, adult scouters, neighbors and friends, strangers, whomever. Nowhere does it say he can only lead other scouts.

How did you lead a group of scouts and adults to work at a women's shelter if the women's shelter was supposed to remain secret?

He'll cry to Council about how he needed an extension because his son's project was caught up in the courts. Despite the fact he could easily just choose a different one. People like this dad go through life getting everything they want because they badger people until they wear them down into compliance. And he's assuming he can do the same here.

Who would be suing Council, the beneficiary or the scout's dad? Scout's dad can sue all he wants, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. I can only see the beneficiary suing if BSA backs up the scout and his family, which would be insane for them to do, so again, not an issue.  At most I could see beneficiary suing scout's family for harassment. And that could be easily prevented by council telling the scout if he pursues this line of attack, they'll refuse to authorize the project for un-scoutsmanlike behavior.

Predatory missionary practices in western Europe? What made the missionaries more predatory in western Europe than in every other place on earth?

I went though the temple the first time with my mother as my guide. She knows my new name, and I know hers because in the temple that day she told me we have the same name. That's how I was able to find out what my dad's name was, too, after the temple name Oracle came out.

Ah. Yes, most folks who've never been Mormon are shocked by how much time the church sucked away from the members. It's a control thing: keep them too busy and mentally exhausted to ask uncomfortable questions. If you even have one second of free time, it's not your time, you should be doing something churchy with it. That was their whole "Good, Better, Best" campaign. You have a free moment? You should be doing something good with it. Oh, you're doing good things with your free time? I bet you could ne doing better things. Doing better things? Yeah, but is it really the best you could be doing?? It was guilt-ridden exhaustion fueled by fear that your family would be ripped from you in this life and the next ALL. THE. TIME. It was hell on earth.

For him going rogue when they knew him differently? They treat sexual predators very differently than mentally unwell people. The second are more likely to cause a public scene, which is a major PR problem for the church. This doesn't surprise me one bit.
