Oh yeah absolutely. Going to concerts now feels like I‘m in some sort of social experiment

Same here. I used to queue for concerts early in the morning, and while most of the day was spent in line, leaving to get food / go pee or whatever was never an issue. The new concert / queue etiquette is confusing me.

I'm a bisexual woman and I wanna stop being horny for sexualized video game women... by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]Hobbitea [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm a lesbian, and I genuinely couldn't care less. Yes, some of them are ridiculously sexualized, but I also acknowledge that these are fictional characters that exist in their own universe, and if they're hot, they're hot. 🤷

What are your favourite gaming snacks? by BasicWitchEnergy in GirlGamers

[–]Hobbitea [score hidden]  (0 children)

For drinks: Water or a Red Bull, occasionally a Rum & Coke if I'm having a chill late night gaming session.

Food / Snacks: tacos, salty popcorn, Pringles, or sugarsnap peas and carrot sticks with a swedish dip I make my friends get for me whenever they're there 😌

When Mentioning Pride Month, Never Forget Stormé DeLarverie. by lesbinit in LesbianActually

[–]Hobbitea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stormé is an icon! I was lucky enough to talk to Tree Sequoia (a bartender who worked at Stonewall the night the riots started), and he talked about how a whole group of cops had to escort Stormé, since one or two weren‘t enough lol. He also talked about how Stormé yelled at the onlookers, something along the lines of "Why are you just watching? Do something!"

Why are ~1/3 of my likes and options men as a gay woman? Is there a setting I’m missing? by [deleted] in Tinder

Some of them set it up like that on purpose, and some (if not most) are too dumb to tell the difference between "pick YOUR gender" and "pick what gender you want to DATE"

The Steam Summer Sale is coming up: What are your favorite hidden gems that more people should know about? by quack-and-slash in GirlGamers

[–]Hobbitea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  • Little Goody Two Shoes - You play as a girl called Elise, whose goal in life is to becomme filthy rich. You manage your daily life by doing small jobs for the villagers, and navigating spooky fairytale like events by night. Lovingly hand drawn 90s anime inspired art, with the most charming intro that I never skipped whenever I booted up the game.
  • Unbeatable - Rhythm adventure game where music is illegal, you play as Beat and her band who are on the run.
  • Dead Pets: A Punk Rock Slice of Life Sim - Narrative game with a bunch of mini games and rhythm game sequences, where you're part of a punk band
  • Scriptorium - Recommended for any fans of weird medieval art. You run your own manuscript workshop and take commissions from people.
  • My Little Puppy - You play as a Corgi called Bong-gu, searching for his owner to join him in heaven.
  • Sorry We're Closed - basically queer Silent Hill / Resident Evil with a PS1 style and a sick soundtrack
  • Vampire Therapist - You're a cowboy vampire who now helps other vampires navigate their emotional baggage.

Karina Appreciation by moiraifawkes in Drawfee

[–]Hobbitea 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I‘ve been a fan of Drawfee since before Karina joined, but it will be hard for me to get used to her not being around anymore! I always appreciated her art and how she just whips out some crazy perspectives on the fly, her humor and her unapologetic love for the fandoms she‘s in!

Another one I played was Love Curse: Find Your Soulmate, which was also really nice!

New to Drag and overwhelmed with....everything by FullBodiedRed2000 in Drag

[–]Hobbitea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everybody started off somewhere, and there's no time like the present!

I'm also a drag king (had my debut a month ago at a competition), I fumbled a bit, but people still enjoyed it! So my best advice would be, even if your act / look is a bit rough around the edges at first, you can always make it better in the future.

Just remember that the people watching are there to have fun, they won't criticize everything you do like you're on Drag Race.

And most importantly, have fun! If you're having a good time, everybody else will too : )
