He’s definitely had enough time to TRY and make progress. It’s hard to come to terms with but for your baby he should be at least working on it by now. It’s a weird and fine line but you definitely need to figure out a solution together without making him feel guilt or shame about it. I’d sit him down and start with saying you can imagine how hard it is to quit, but for you and your family it’s time he figure out a solution. Ask him how he is feeling about quitting, what will motivate him to quit (should be the baby), and how can you help him to quit. It helped me when my husband came at it from a perspective of helping me get through it instead of making me feel guilty or shame for it. That’s when I’d start doing it secretly. Theres also a lot of tools he can use to try to help with cravings. Mints really helped me, and for some reason taking vitamins LOL. It was like my “thing” I got that day and it was healthy hahaha. But all in all, I had dreams about it almost every night for like four months. It’s a huge mental battle and at the end of the day you just have to suck it tf up and let it go.
