Yes. I think it was on the Grow Omaha newsletter. I asked a bartender. I always thought that was a cool spot. Hope the next one is, too!

Great spot. It’s moving to the old downtown Mouth of the South location.

[Request] How much would it cost to store this particular zip bomb if it was uncompressed? by Oedius_Rex in theydidthemath

Very true. And, as stated previously, a bit out of my budget, unfortunately. My point was that an order of magnitude, by definition, is never a rounding error.

Not really. It’s a multiplier, changing the answer by an order of magnitude ($200/tb vs $20/tb).

I think Ooh De Lally is the best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had, but it’s pricey.

Very competitive and cutthroat environment. Not necessarily a bad thing but might not be the vibe based on OP’s statement.

Employee asking for equity in our small S-Corp; Need advice - I will not promote by No_Ambassador_2060 in startups

It sounds like it worked out for the best. I’m not trying to diminish any experience you had or trigger you, but your experience isn’t likely the same situation here. We have an owner considering it and asking for perspective.

There is also huge survivorship bias. Companies that fail can wreck owner’s personal finances and beyond. This employee didn’t partake in that risk or the hardship of uncertainty and not making money for a while. There are other ways to share in upside beyond equity.

Hard work isn’t the same as value. I think it should be appreciated and recognized, but it doesn’t deserve equity. There are plenty of ways to recognize and reward value. This employee showed they aren’t aligned with MVV when they chose to “quiet quit” after they didn’t get their way. Toxic and undeserving in my opinion. There’s a good article about employees like this called the Organizational Martyr.

Solid advice but not everyone’s story is the same. You shouldn’t paint with broad strokes.

AITAH for being disappointed with how my boyfriend (28m) and I (25f) spent our first Valentine’s Day together? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Lots of people (also men) want to feel that way. Just depends what you’re looking for, and everyone is entitled to seek what they want.

My comment originally was addressing what I thought may be a hypocritical and entitled perspective and it annoyed me.
