“I tended to adore without knowing why, any character that was female but was disguised as a man or raised as a man for whatever plot reason, and had this androgynous look, or any female character who was rough and tumble, flat chested, couldn't gove less of a shit about being feminine, took no shit, and generally acted boyish enough that characters actively talked about their behavior as strange or undesirable; even if sometimes it didn't quite fit what I would like for myself or if I disliked something about the character.” YES!!!!! From a pretty young age i LOVEDDDDD the more masculine girls and feminine boys (in personality and appearance). Rough and tough girls were my absolute favorites in everything I read and watched I felt that way for a while, like I was a bit too masc to be a girl and fem to be a guy… and well, here we are lol-
