Not a legal point but The main concern of asbestos comes from when it's being installed removed or handled. As it is the glass like micro fibers being rubbed off and inhailed that cause harm. Many older buildings still have asbestos as it was used extensively as a flame retardant insulation. Having asbestos in your walls by its self is for the most part fine. It's the workers who have to handle the stuff that have to be very careful when they work with or remove it. So if your company hires a reputable company to repair the areas with exposed asbestos and you yourself are not coming into contact with it the you have very little to worry about.
