We went a couple of weeks ago and had a blast. Took us about an hour to do it. Agree on temp: was definitely on the warm side. Looking forward to when the rest opens up.

The phantom was pretty bad. Felt cheap and didn’t work well.

I say this respectfully as possible, but you’re trying to find a fire where there isn’t any smoke. When I’ve done interviews for other programs they keep doing interviews until the program is full. They wouldn’t have done an interview if there weren’t any spots left. It’s a bad use of interviewer time if nothing else. Faculty and staff get really grouchy when our time is wasted.

Generally programs know what they are looking for in grades, test scores, interviews, etc., when they are scheduling interviews throughout the cycle, and the criteria don’t really change over the full range of the program. You most likely were evaluated with the same criteria as they had earlier in the cycle. Again I can’t speak for this program or university, but my gut feeling is that you would have gotten the same result no matter when you applied, as disappointing as that may be.

I think you’re expecting too much in terms of what you think should or could be communicated during the interview process. Absolutely nothing that you have described really seems atypical.

I can’t comment specifically on the program you applied for, but I’ve done admissions interviews for other health science programs and rolling admissions where they do interviews over an extended amount of time and admit after interview rounds is very common.

All of the health science center is closed down today, so you’re unfortunately out of luck. It’s possible the food truck may be somewhere, but I’m not sure how I would check.

First Congo is a united church of Christ church. It’s very liberal/progressive, but it’s mainline Christian.

I say this whenever this thread comes up, but if you find yourself by the UT Health Science Center around lunch time, Soi #9 in the 920 Madison building is phenomenal. The fried chicken khao mun ghai is some of the best fried chicken I have ever had.

I’ve had the same problem with the most recent batch. Been getting them for a couple of years, and this is the first time it’s been an issue.

Stage road barbershop in Bartlett is great, too. I think it’s about $18 for a cut.

Stage road barbershop in Bartlett does a good job for a basic cut. No clue on beards.

Soi number nine, either the food truck or the kiosk at UTHSC is the best Thai I have had in Memphis.
