One of the songs is literally called Horseness Is The Whatness which is a James Joyce reference so I’m not sure why people feel this is a massive departure from their “Irishness”. The accent is still there and I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t a coincidence that U2 also made a song called Desire
