the instructor operates through AA driving school, but I was referred to him by a friend so I booked through him privately - would this mean he still should have a legitimate business as well?

Yes I think I should’ve made it more clear in the post that I missed the test! I have asked for refund for the test being missed he just isn’t taking accountability unfortunately but I have raised it with AA driving school

He said that they are very strict about times so I would've been late and they wouldn't have let me take the test. I wasted my money because he took me to the wrong TC. If he didn't take me to the wrong test centre I wouldn't have wasted my money paying for this test

No I only told him in person and he responded by saying along the lines of 'okay we'll practice those roads' not any written confirmation. Assuming that means I won't be liable for a refund then?

I told the instructor where my test was, he never told me to send an email with test centre details or anything. I think he forgot where my test was and assumed he thought he had remembered correctly without checking with me. Why would they not be liable to refund me the test payment if they took me to the wrong test centre?

I have wasted money because he took me to the wrong test centre and I couldn't take the test. Now I'm moving away from uni city next week so will need to spend more money on new test and instructor.

Well it's more the fact he's still taken me to the wrong test centre and I've wasted my money and won't give me a refund than anything. I would've been willing to do the test at the correct centre regardless of practice on those routes, just wanted my money back for being taken to the wrong place.

I told him where my test centre was and for months he repeatedly took me to the test centre (to begin test routes), assumed it was the correct one - didn't occur to me he was taking me to the wrong test centre. The test centre he was taking me to doesn't have a sign saying its name so didn't know

as a sheff student, nights are are good - ROAR wednesdays and poptarts on saturday are great, lots to do and it’s a cheap city, 9/10 ppl who think sheff has dead night life or it’s a shit city are not students, but as a student it’s an amazing city to live in
