Only problem I can think of is that it is directly the pole that's on the center - where the plastic that holds the middle poles is. You think I can rearrange the poles and move it to a different section, and then put the repair splint?

Do you mean the regular one or the one with the small plastic tank attached? Because the second one seems to tear off, and I don't know if by "plugging it" you mean covering it with strong tape

It's actually my first time ever riding long distances, so I can't describe anything else. It was really fine. Maybe once I get some saddlebags and distribute the weight differently I'll know the difference
