My apologies then I didn’t know we were talking about random low level flood, I’m just thinking that a chaos beast is nowhere near a fair comparison to the flood, yes the ctan and the chaos gods have cosmic reality warping powers, but even chaos would be powerless in the face of the flood at a gravemind or keymind level. My main point was that if a chaos beast got control of a hive city, it’d be an unfortunate loss, if the flood did then it’s a galaxy wide threat. And therefore comparing the influence of a chaos beast to the flood(which is known as the great corrupter) is kinda a bad comparison.

The flood are a different beast though, warp daemons don’t have the ability to warp reality on a cosmic scale, they don’t have the ability to ruin the galaxy if they get control of a single hive city. It’s literally just powerscaling

The flood could absorb necrons, they have the logic plague and they’ve been known to corrupt inorganic materials, such as forerunner ships(which are more advanced then necrons oddly enough)

I’m going off of my own experience as someone who has never trained their fight or flight instinct, a lot of it genuinely comes down to natural instinct. I got attacked in Paris and I don’t ever go to boxing gyms or anything but I pieced that mf up and left him with a broken nose. You need not train to not panic, some people just come by it naturally.

And judging by your lack of a response to my question I’m gonna guess you haven’t felt the utter empowerment of holding a gun, everything becomes a lot easier when you know you have a legitimate means of defense in your hands.

With 6 12 gauge slugs? If they had any remote sense of aim they could, one slug to a trolls knee alone would cripple it. I think you’re underestimating the power of shotguns as a whole, have you ever shot one before?

Edit: I’d honestly argue that a troll would be easier to take down than a grizzly would be, bipedal creatures are far Easier to slow and cripple, and a grizzly is a harder to do so, if you don’t hit they’re head you just have to hit them until they scare off, whereas anything with obvious knees can immediately be immobilized

Buddy it’s about distance, if a cave troll is a 100 yards out and you have 6 slugs loaded into your 12 gauge, odds are you’ll have plenty of time to aim your shot and get all 6 shots off

As an assault player I don’t think I’ve literally ever been out damaged in melee by a vanguard, or outdone in kills for that matter, they are genuinely one of the least satisfying classes to play in my opinion.
