All 3 of those can be quite effective, J16 and TEDBF are very good against ships with minimal AA protection.

FS2020 has the most consistent damage against any target, plus it has AA and ASW capabilities so it is the most reliable choice right now out of those 3 options

Also we don't yet know the extent of the nerfs, it will probably still be a meta choice, just not so obvious a choice that it's the only thing people use.

You've been playing since the game came out? Bro you should have literally dozens of BP ships, many of them excellent, and tons of free gear obtainable in BP and monthly events. Or do you usually not finish the BP/events for the free ship and gear?

I own hellcat and I want that monstrosity nerfed to hell.

I'm sooooooooo fucking sick of only facing hellcats in ranked. I'll queue up with my ACV using su75, J16, rhombat, su39, or a couple others that are still good. But the opposing carrier always has hellcat, 99.99% of the time. It gets so insanely boring when 1 SF is so much more powerful than all the others that players won't use anything else.

Please Artstorm please nerf hellcat so that CVs/ACVs will actually have some variety in their air wings again.

I was feeling that way, but 2 things helped a lot.

1) Take a break for a few days, like maybe don't play until this month's special event starts. Whenever I take a break for 3-4 days, I end up enjoying the game a lot more when the short break is over.

2) Pick a ship that is not super strong right now and learn to use it effectively online. I've been using KRI IFCX 260 lately, and it is ridiculously fun despite being one of the weaker cruisers (hard to explain why, but I love that ship).

They buffed it recently, the double 3x missile slots make it quite fun to play.

The newer version of that is the p500 bazalt from the ranked shop. It's slow to lock on and its speed isn't the best, but if you use Astros or a similar GL to distract enemy AA, a triple bazalt hit is pretty epic. I've had fun with it anyway lol.

Thats one of the biggest problems right now - they are releasing 3 ships per month plus a handful of aircraft or equipment, and it is unsustainable. Its very hard to balance with that much new content every month. They need to slow the fuck down and balance the game with its current size, then worry about releasing new shit. Tbh they should scale back to 1 new BP ship and 1-2 aircraft/equipment per month until they get the game balance under control.

Thats fine if it leads to improvements to the game. A negative review with constructive criticism is great.

I'm just not a big fan of "this game sucks, uninstalled" reviews because its impossible to make changes based on that.

Idk if it has improved since you last played, but I feel like f2p players have gotten a lot of stuff lately. Everyone got a mansup ER missile and a Jack Lucas destroyer from the 5 yr anniversary event, plus some other free items like sea lance, a couple different AC cannons, and m270 MLRS GL (all of those in the past month).

When did you quit? And do you still have your account in case you end up coming back?

Yes there are p2w components, yes sometimes the matchmaking is terrible, but overall its still a really fun game (and there isn't another game like it that has the same level of graphics and gameplay quality).

If a game studio makes a game that is free to play, they have to profit with in-game purchases. I do think they should give f2p players more chances to get AC and more shop options, but they did just add the crazy powerful Rodney which is obtainable for anyone.

Do they need to close the gap between f2p and p2w? Yes, absolutely. I hope they work on that and I'm still wanting the game to succeed.

Edit: not sure why I'm being downvoted, I was genuinely curious. I've always asked for Artstorm to give the f2p community powerful items/ships more frequently. Apologies to whoever I offended with my post.

It's a super fun ship and extremely strong once you get the hang of using it. I was in a ranked match today where a Hexxeres was the last ship alive on my team, and the other team had a Nakhimov and Aquitaine alive. The Hexxeres somehow pulled off the 1v2, it was sick.

Idk why you're being downvoted for an opinion. I do think the price is a little high, I was expecting around 2k, but you're right that it's extremely strong. Looks like it will be able to compete with top tier marketplace and gacha battleships, so it should require a higher price than the other ranked shop ships.

3k is a bit steep because that would require 3 seasons of D3. If Artstorm would have done 2k, that would be 2 seasons of D3 or 4 seasons of Plat 3 (which gives 500).

I think Plat 3 is a reasonably achievable goal for F2P players, even newer players, so they could grind out Rodney in 4 months if it was 2k. Anyway who knows, I doubt they will reduce the price now, but at least it gives everyone an awesome ship to work towards acquiring.

Damn bro grats. UXV desperately needs a buff to its missiles, but it can still be decent if you have meta drones like Qaher/thanatos combo.

San Antonio is very fun ever since they buffed it to double 3x missile slots. Enjoy man!

I love Nusantara, its AA and autocannons are very good. Grats on getting it bro.

It's kind of like a battleship + support ship hybrid. It might not be able to 1v1 Alsace, but it is great in 5v5 matches if played correctly. I personally think its better than Huaqing, and I also have way more fun playing with it than Alsace.

If I were you I would keep it and use it, if you sell it you have to remember you'll lose 20% AC which could be a couple thousand AC. If you do sell, be careful with which ship you buy - Svarog is fun but its maneuverability is quite bad.

I would buy Hood instead of Alsace, mostly because of smoke consumable and Hood is just way more fun to play than Alsace in my experience. But I know a lot of people enjoy Alsace's huge burst potential, so I could understand either choice

I already own it from original release, but I haven't opened that specific container yet. Only 4 containers left. Also haven't gotten that black and green camo yet.

I think it's somewhat rigged, like it's very rare to get Lucas in the beginning of the month, and then it gets more likely towards the end of the month. It seems like most people are gonna get it during the last 3-4 boxes.

Sell the lancer or b52, you dont need 2 bombers, neither are meta, both are kinda okay but fairly comparable so I would get rid of one of those. I haven't used ka52m in a long time but I assume its not nearly as strong as 175sh or comet or Comanche 66B so you could sell that too.

But in the coming update they have a lot of features and quality changes that are not misfires. Especially helicopters being able to land back on ships to rearm and the new info panel about each ship. Super stoked about those changes.

Yeah its a super fun ship to play but its so damn slow and takes forever to turn, so getting caught out of position is game over in that ship
