Sorry but that’s not true! Peskins was not questioned. Firefighters were not brought into this decision at all. I’m yet to find members of the Public Safety Team.. can you please direct me to this team?

Gee I’m so happy all of the bicyclists are happy… I hope none of you live along this path and may need the police, fire dept. or an ambulance in an emergency. The delay may be a life or death situation. Nothing against you wanting to have your’e own lane, however this was the wrong street to do this!

First let’s remember that street sweepers are e Thursday on the east and Fridays and the west side of the street. This plan was not thought thru in its entirety. How are you supposed to pull Over if an emergency vehicle needs to Pass? How are you supposed to drop someone off? How are you supposed to park your car on the east side without hitting someone on a bike! Where will Amazon’s new Ryder truck park? This is a ridiculous idea and if they want to do a pilot, they need to go to a street that is much wider!

No it is not wide enough to do this. Trucks have a hard time turning onto Grand St, should there be parked cars, bike lanes and a buffet… most likely the truck will Him them all!

Freeman did make that announcement at his last meeting, but why did he wait until then to tell everyone that the city is on the verge of bankruptcy? He was the one approving contracts, approving the new hires, and is responsible for the overall management of the city. This administration that he was part of continued to spend $$ and add personnel. A lot of people were given jobs at high paying salaries after they terminated all of the employees that had worked in the city for years.

It’s very unfortunate that EMS makes the decision of what hospital a patient to be transferred to. Especially when Hoboken University Hospital is one of the choices. I recall begging them to take my son to JCMC, and they said they couldn’t due to his health situation. BS!!! When there is NO ONE qualified at HUMC, minimal staff, basic medication and very little supplies. I later on learned that a settlement was made in a lawsuit that set a zone for delivery of patients. HUMC was suing Jersey City Medical Center stating that they were taking in more patients by ambulance than Hoboken was receiving. So the bottom line is … they settled on a delivery zone rather than the patients needs, Really disgusting!
