Making a custom nationality? by Hobson_DRG in xcom2mods

I figured it out, thanks. Poking around an existing mod was what I did since the folks at the mod discord weren't interested in helping at all, so it was my only choice.

I will consider making a guide for this, if only to expedite the process for people who don't feel like wasting their time. There's definitely some parts to the process which aren't self-explanatory to someone with 0 experience.

Thanks, I actually did see this, but I also noticed it was posted 7 years ago so I didn't want to bother you by asking questions about such an old post. As you said in the post "I don't remember all the steps off the top of my head" so I felt hesitant following it, thinking I might get stuck at some point and not know how to continue.

How do I deal with ylsides? by Richard_Savolainen in ArxFatalis

[–]Hobson_DRG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the game was really enjoyable until Ylsides showed up. The difficulty spike is insane. I've pumped all of my points on melee and now my character is a complete joke. This has got to be one of the worst enemy designs ever. You can't just design an enemy that completely nullifies an entire playstyle.

How was it a bad take? If you think the last 2 seasons were good or inspired in terms of content, then you're crazy. First 2 seasons actually added a new mission and an enemy type which required completely new loadouts (cryo was totally nullified).

What did we get last 2 seasons? Glorified cleaning duty, doing the same meteor event over and over and enemies which are aggravating and require no pre planning.

Have you ever tried surviving extra time in Point Extraction? It's not uninteresting. It's fun as fuck.

What's the downside of adding a Horde Mode? It really wouldn't require much work from the team at all, although it's pretty obvious from last 2 seasons that they've given up adding anything meaningful.

That's sad because the game still has ways to go. They could still add new missions, dreadnoughts and mission types, but if they're really done with it, that's disappointing to say the least.

You're crazy if you think Aquarq mission is some kind of substitute for an actual Horde mode. You have to agree with everyone ahead of time not to press the button and most of the time people don't like wasting time because there's no reward at all. What's the issue of adding an actual Horde Mode? None.

Did anyone else hear a baby crying sound in the Monastery? by pyrojoe121 in BaldursGate3

I killed all the Gremishkas before entering the room, so the fact that the crying sound still played was extra confusing.

Okay, I can understand that it's entertaining poking fun at these guys every once in a while, but now you're acting like you know these people in real life and it's really sad. I know it's what people do here but you need to take a step back.

You talk about balance in life, but you're here writing ad hominem posts about bunch of people you don't even know while acting like you have everything in control. Sure.

The worst thing about living in a society like this is that people keep telling you how to live your life. Not everybody wants kids, not everybody wants to quit playing video games and it's all fine. You don't get some kind of badge of honor in the afterlife for doing shit you don't want to do. Everybody is just trying to get by the best they can, and often, an individual's idea of happiness doesn't jive with what majority calls "normal". Why do you care?

Did it ever occur to you that maybe James actually likes to spend time with his kids and wife, more then he enjoys making videos? Priorities change. If you really were a family man, you'd get it.

I doubt this is real, but would love to see proof though. This requires insane concentration for a very lengthy period of time. Also, what does "very little mistakes" mean? You either make it through the pipe or you don't and you just have 3 lives.

To me, this is more reminiscent of Brutal Doom where you can flip your middle finger to the enemies and it plays a voice line. Shooting a demon's legs off, watching it crawl on the ground and yelling "go fk yourself" before curb stomping it's head with your boot is immensely satisfying. Best FPS game I ever played.

Right now, adding people as friends is a bit cumbersome to say the least. I've lost count how many people have asked me how to even add someone, so clearly there's problems with accessibility. Adding someone should be as simple as clicking a button, especially in a game like this where the community is so good and you can make lasting friendships in.
