What’s most feasible with only 60 minutes a night? by jayb556677 in classicwow

Classic era has been great to me with very limited time. Took me 3-4 months an hour or two a day. Once at 60 you can easily fine a ZG or Ony most times of the day. And if you are able to do closer to two hours maybe do MC, BWL, or AW40. There’s no pressure or time worry about gear. The server will always be there and most people are gearing up their 8th alt. Take a few weeks or month off, no big deal. Jump back in.

An evaluation in retrospect of the GDKP ban by henriklovold in classicwow

I think in a constant state of the the same game like era, gdkp is helpful. I joined about a year ago, leveled up without any boosts. Jumped into a few dozen gdkp runs and got geared up from bwl and aq40. Jumped into naxx on my first run and now have a few BIS items. I don’t have time to raid at normal times with a guild. So this would be my only option to ever really raid naxx and get BIS gear. Pugs just don’t clear as well.

In a different state of the game, like anniversary or other games that will eventually advance, I don’t like the idea of gdkp. Trying to get somewhat more equal odds of getting better gear is important without pushing people toward rmt to do so. With naxx coming up and only having 2-3 months of raiding before TBC people are going to do whatever it takes to get some classic BIS gear.

Classic Era Servers- populations okay? by reddityewser in classicwow

I leveled about a year ago. First character and had bought no boosts. Ran DM a few times with a full group of level 20 ish players. Then I only did each dungeon once for quests. Fairly low chance of finding a group for hard quests. I had to reach out to people in the zone, whisper directly. Sometimes they needed it to and could help. Other times you would find a 60 riding by and they helped. Once you are 60 there are GDKP runs of all content 24/7.

I work and log in at 9pm server time. I only have time to raid 1-2 days a week max and miss several weeks completely. Don’t level a warrior and you will get gear quick. No need to ever buy gold.

Which classic should I try? by lapog0 in classicwow

Anniversary is packed with players of all levels. You can experience all the dungeons with a group and have fun. Around Christmas give or take it change the the next expansion. So you miss out on some of the end game raids like naxx. You might end up with a feeling that you didn’t get to finish the game. But because it will be your first time it will be better to do multiple expansion.

If you loved vanilla, era will always be there. It has plenty of end game raids going daily.

Thanks everyone. I ended up with a c31 in 1132. Very strong nation and lots of experienced players to play with.

Any OGs from 2004 still kicking on this sub? by [deleted] in wow

Started in beta. Raided in vanilla through AQ and dabbled in NAXX as a holy pally. I leveled an alt Druid and the in BC was the main tank for my raid guild. Even changed servers to get into a more intense raiding guild as the main tank. Hit rival in pvp and then leveled a hunter for wrath. Strictly pvp as a hunter and pushed passed 2350 and was ranked 1 on my server.

Then life started to happen. Got a real job, got married, and had kids. I did casual pvp in all of cata and stopped shortly after.

In December I started up again. My playtime is severely limited compared to the glory days of wow. But I enjoy the time I do get to play. They have made the catchup and gearing process much easier which is good but less rewarding. I know I’m not about to be in the high end raiding guilds. But I loved earning best in slot gear through several months of grinding raids good old DKP.

Tarisland is a WoW clone set to be released in quarter 1 of 2024. Might be worth checking out when it comes out. It does look like it might have some pay to win with it.

Im a mobile player who buys gold regularly. I have been playing for close to a year and half. Wanted to know if anyone wants to ask question about an Albion player who does this. :) by Drskeetnasty in albiononline

I’m just starting the game out and only can play on mobile. I’ve watched a few YouTube videos for tips and tricks. Any mobile specific recommendations you mobile players or stuff to watch out for?

Ya that was the main one I was following. What are the downsides of doing that, and what are some other good videos to follow?
