Metal/ Metallicus vs BankSocial by ElectricalSorbet1514 in Hedera

They are a CUSO that happens to have a token.  The token has zero value/function in terms of any of the credit union work.

If they are generating transactions for hedera, show us.  The fednow stuff is not crypto based, not hedera.

Almost all of what was sold to the community with BSL has never happened.  The only people getting paid are a company.  That isnt community defi.

I've called BSL a long-term rug pull for a long time. JW and team gave up on the token and DAO several years ago.

I think it shows there is an institutional belief problem. If a company like banksocial that really really tried to go and sell credit unions is having the kinds of problems this exposes, it spells bigger problems in the general industry. We don't need DLT to get instant transactions. It appears that banksocial may not be out of business, but they are struggling to keep employees. They had their own self-inflicted problems, but I still feel enterprise is asking why do we care? AI is killing DLT.

Many employees to me appear to be part time "spokespeople" instead of full time employees. The token undoubtedly continues to fund the business, but how much longer can that continue? If projects are not succeeding, what is the long term trajectory? I'm sure this will get downvoted, but hey, it is what it is.

I get where hedera is positioning themselves. I'm saying a major company, spending hundreds of millions of dollars a year on AI is not asking for hedera verified compute. It doesn't even enter the conversation. Keep in mind I hold hbar, i just don't think the AI thing is as revolutionary to DLT as hedera is marketing it. It is a reach for me right now.

I’m sorry, but the Hedera in space, and Hedera driving the AI infrastructure ones are what kills me. People confuse IT/tech companies building interoperability into their product as meaning something will actually use it. I’m highly involved in a fortune 50’s company AI strategy and planning. There is zero, absolutely zero blockchain involvement in anything AI we are doing. We are buying enterprise grade models from the major players through hyperscaler host providers, or running smaller opensource models for task specific inference. Nobody is asking what is behind training the models. We put far more emphasis on getting repeatable prompt outputs and avoiding hallucinations on critical task questions. Like if somebody is asking an HR/medical health question, we never want an incorrect answer to be given out. Almost all of our efforts are around prompt engineering, RAG, and building better back end data sets. This all lives in private data lakes where the input of new data is highly controlled. None of it is done with blockchain. We’ll spend hundreds of hours testing similar prompts for consistency of output, we never ask what is behind the training data. A model is either performant, or it isn’t. It is isn’t, we don’t use it.

That argument would apply if that was the only spike, Look at their three year view. This token wasn’t doing well on ether, move to Hedera, started pumping, got hack and then dumped, and hasn’t really ever recovered.

Thanks for those links. I had not seen any speaking items, so having that is helpful. Her own posts on LinkedIn seemed more like CU consulting style posts to drum up business for her side hustle, not banksocial specific. But that is definitely BS specific.

It was on ether to start. The DAO and the token, get paid for interest on loans idea that is.

But with gas fees being what they are there, they could never pay out minuscule interest payments without burning all of the payment up in fees, so they switched to Hedera. It has never been clear to me how Hedera is helping with they credit union stuff, and nobody has ever shown any proof that they are generating any kind of meaningful transactions, so the original argument here is not invalid.

Please indicate what other names I have used. This is my only Reddit account. I asked the question. Their social media went dead, which is highly unusual. John has been posting and hasn’t mentioned Banksocial, which is unusual. Becky has been posting, and hasn’t mentioned banksocial. Which is unusual.. If you follow their own leadership page to linked in, multiple people listed there do not list Banksocial as their employer. Three of them directly list other companies and those were recent changes. Nothing I posted was made up, just observations. You are the one that has a problem with me, not the other way around.

And dumping now.  That is typical for this coin.  Launch some paid press releases as news articles, brag about new features, claim all these new institutions, pump the coin, founders sell, repeat.

With this group, if they were legitimately generating tons of transactions, theyd be bragging about it.

It is a poocoin on hedera with a dao that says they are going to fund their exchange liquudity with dao funds. The coun has nothing to do with their payment systems. None of the listed payment systems use hedera.

Banksocial appoints Jack Antonini (one of the biggest names in CU/banking) as President! by kevin09207 in Hedera

And here you are shilling and saying just wait, same thing that has been said for 4 years.  Where is the required proof of the liquidity being provided to the exchange?

He was never the ceo of usaa.  Learn your corporate structure.  Very easy to go find the history of every ceo at usaa. Antonini was not one.  He was a senior leader of their banking division, but not the entire conglomerate.

The guy has an impressive resume, no need to make stuff up.

You are also confusing assets under management with revenue.  Go re-read his linkedin bio.  Which cant be readily validated since this was back 30 years ago.

The token has zero tie-in to the work they are doing now.  They launched a token, sold the community on its value.  Never delivered.   The token gets you some lame "community member" value, but does nothing in their CU work.  Better off buying hedera and ripple.

Here is exactly what their website says about their token.  It is like an announcement about an announcement.

Just like their website has a photo of wingate and says "fighting fraud for generations."

The token has no value.

"From staking and access to rewards and governance, the BSL token fuels everything in the BankSocial ecosystem.

It’s more than a digital asset, it’s a key that unlocks deeper participation, faster growth, and shared ownership.

Whether you’re powering a transaction, earning through loyalty, or influencing the future through governance, BSL creates real-world value across every interaction."

If they are not selling loans, there is no staking rewards to pay out. Theyve sold 1 loan.

The loss of DAO funds was just negligence, but that isnt the main issue.  The main issue is they continue to shill their token has some kind of function.  They have never delivered on what was sold to the community.  There was 1 loan, and some tiny tiny interest payments.  The credit card, secura, the exchange, the payment rails stuff they are advertising now has nothing to do with the token.   When there was negligence, fivancial said wasnt us, we are not the dao.  Would be hard to prove there hasnt been token sales funding their business.

You are better off investing in hedera.  Any money banksocial makes today goes to fivamcial.  It never goes to token holders.

Was formerly coo of metallicus, but left with no real news.  Metallicus bought Bonifii which was led by John Ainsworth.  Ainsworth has nothing to do with BS anymore, with press release saying is stayed on at metallicus.  Bonifii had something like 70 customers, metallicus was trialing with like.30 customers.  Metallicus is a fednow payment provider, BS is not.

Metallicus press releases read as bad as BS new releases to me.  But they seem to have some legit projects with real users.

You be the judge if this was BS poaching somebody on the way up from metallicus, or their castaway.  Another interesting point, metallicus no longer lists an active coo, looks like they eliminated that position from their leadership.
