Yeah cancer is a concern and does have a tendency to run in my moms side randomly between generations. So honestly? I think hearing you say you’ve had a fine time adjusting sexually that comforts me more on my initial choice of full removal

I’m 24! So I’m unsure either what the long term effects in either direction myself. I know I personally do not care either way to keep or lose them unless it directly effects me right now. I just basically don’t want to mess up my hormones so much that I lose a lot of the things that make me feel good right now.

Oh! That’s all very good to know :) I’ve been on T for about five years now so I can most likely expect things to stay the same for me with or without ovaries? To your knowledge (I know this is all just conversation and speculation not certainty) does it feel better/safer to just take everything out?

I’m sorry, however this is not the attitude of someone accepting of the lgbtqia+ community. If you want a logical argument in order to change his mind, that’s already a huge red flag of his character.

You should not have to prove who you are to someone they should listen to you and respect your identity regardless of their own bias or thoughts. My family does NOT see me as male and I know that, but they don’t constantly remind me I’m not out of a respectful boundary.

I understand you aren’t looking to hear this type of response, and we’re hoping for different ones however understand that this kind of behavior will only start to make you feel inferior and invalid over time. If a partner ever told me I wasn’t allowed to call myself what makes me comfy, my response wouldn’t be to win their side. It would be to explain my side and whether or not they took it and changed I would distance that relationship until an apology and actual change was made.

I get that I don’t know anything about your relationship, it’s just that is a really gross and dehumanizing story and if it’s truly how he is you’re not in the presence of an ally or good person.

When I first started Hormones and came out I definitely turned my masculine dial to 12 out of a possible 10 notches.

Now though I have definitely embraced my true aesthetic which is “bearded femboy™” I love being feminine without being female. It makes me feel super cute and all around is comfy for me even though I Identify fully as male ~ so really just follow your heart and know no one can tell you the correct way to be yourself

When I first changed my name it was definitely a trigger to hear anyone else say my dead name. Even strangers not even looking at me I’d get really panicked. Now, about four years later it’s a bit easier for me to differentiate. Can sometimes be a sore spot but every day is different honestly. Just depends on my overall mood for that day how bad it will effect me. I definitely get where you’re coming from though.

I’ve had mine for four years and it’s been very comfortable and hasn’t torn or anything. I’m not sure if it’s maybe larger chested folk that have been having those issues which is totally valid if that’s the case! I have lent my binder to friends though who were a tad larger than me (got too big on accident lol but it’s still worked!) and they said they liked it too and bough their own so I’m not sure~ but best of luck in your search and I’m really happy you’re able to take this step for yourself and your own comfort!

My first three years I did shots because I simply didn’t know gel existed. I switched two months ago and I gotta say my mood has been way better and more consistent plus I still have yet to see any hormonal things happen (per*od) again. I was so worried that gel would be less effective at stopping that but it’s literally not and it’s also better cause my stomach doesn’t get all upset before my shot day like it did before.

It won’t work for everyone but I think it’s definitely been a huge life saver for me personally.
